I have been working at Neuberger Berman full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Strong culture
Terrific leadership who saved the firm and have really grown it over the past 8 years
    Aligned incentives
The best 401k - a 15% contribution with no match required from employee

    Cons

None if you like the industry

As the industry has become more competitive, the firm has raised the bar resulting in more terminations and external replacements than we used to have. While this impacts a very small percentage of the employees, it has created more intensity and some unwelcome uncertainty for individuals. Clear feedback that folks are not in the bottom few percent of the employee base is important so there is no confusion or unnecessary anxiety.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work

Your raising the bar has made the firm better for clients and 95% of the employees

I worked at Neuberger Berman full-time

    Pros

I found that working here provides everyone an opportunity to contribute. Managers at all levels listen to their employees feedback and you can see real change take shape over the course of projects and roadmaps. I also love that they give back to the community and have some of the best philanthropic opportunities I've seen.

    Cons

The company is small and career moves and changes can take longer, but it's worth the wait.
