I have been working at Neudesic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Reasonable opportunity to do different things. Some of the sales team thinks small, very different depending on your city. This is a good opportunity to grow because if you want to grow and lead, you will be given the shot and get constructive criticism. Sometimes have to be patient for opportunities. Base salary pay is good, but bonuses are tough to earn. Negotiate hard up front.

    Cons

Sales teams tend to be small, hence they have to work hard to feed the demand of the team. Be careful to ask about stage of business cycle. Like any consulting firm, if you are on the bench and you haven't made yourself invaluable, then you are up for grabs to be flown out of state ....or worse.

    Advice to Management

Invest in sales team. Need more conversations that are not placement roles but solution focused.

I have been working at Neudesic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Neudesic truly employes some of the brightest technologist out there. You will be able to learn and advance your skills at any level with the talent here.

As a consultant you will have the flexibility to work from home, on-site at the client or in the local office depending on the client demands. Work-life balance is above par, Benefits are very good with minimal money out of pocket (if you are single - don't know family plan).

    Cons

401K plan is not matching, I have heard rumors that this will be changing in 2017.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing, it is working!

I worked at Neudesic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Met some people that love technology and are good at implementing solutions.

    Cons

Nothing but staff aug jobs and despite what they preach, they do not practice it. They constantly state that the consultants are the heart of their business and they are in the business of people. They are solely in the business of making money and do not care about the people.

    Advice to Management

Stop with all the fluff and speak the truth to your employees.

I have been working at Neudesic (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hands down the best talent of any consulting shop in town.

Our work is regularly recognized by Microsoft as being best of breed.

    Cons

Constantly reorganizing, no consistent strategy/leadership, and now they're whacking people left and right with little explanation.

Also, there's a huge caveat to the "best talent in town" part. Lately they have been bringing on subpar people. My theory is that they finally realized that top tier talent will simply move on if they get pigeonholed or stuck on a bad project with no hope of being reassigned.

    Advice to Management

Calm down and think long term. You don't need to restructure the entire company every time you have a slow month or two.

Instead of lowering the talent bar, look at yourself and understand why your "A" Players are leaving - and work on fixing the root cause.

I have been working at Neudesic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

While on the bench (after projects) you can train and finish certifications.
You can learn the latest and greatest technologies (on and off project).

    Cons

Too much bench time feels like lurking doom.
    Very easy to burn out.
Travel when there is no local work and search expands nationally.

    Advice to Management

Hire more sales people who can find work for your consulting engineers.

    Cons

    Poor organization and leadership
    Very poor transparency and communication
Very little employee support or investment; people are fungible commodities
