I have been working at Neurocrine Biosciences full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Laid back yet professional work environment. Everyone is very friendly, helpful and welcoming, feels like family. Great benefits that you can't find most places. Compensation is great, employees treated very well.

    Can't think of one.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing!

    Pros

As an intern I was offered a great deal of independence. I worked in the chemistry lab making compounds .Everyone is super helpful if you have a question and it feels like a true team environment. Happy Hour every Thursday. Not too many meetings. Good facilitates. Mang overbearing. notement

    Cons

Lots of politics. There are definitely cliques of people. Who you are friends with can make a big difference.

I worked at Neurocrine Biosciences full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company employs a wonderful staff in both the admin. and science departments. The employees are really the greatest attribute of the company.

    Cons

According to recent news, a few of their programs aren't meeting their primary endpoints and so the future of the company may not be for very much longer.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

I worked at Neurocrine Biosciences as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good people, friendly environment, very interesting research

    Cons

Bad employee turnover, pays low income to undergrads and graduates without benefits

    Advice to Management

Compensate your new employees more, and more importantly, reward their hard work. Additionally work on innovating processes.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Small, tightly-knit company that does a lot of good biotech research. Being in California is also really sweet too. There isn't too much bureaucracy to fight though.

    Cons

Ever since the FDA caused trouble with Indiplon and Neurocrine's stock price tumbled, morale seems to be pretty low. Not sure if the company can recover.

    Advice to Management

    Stop laying people off.
