    Pros

    Benefits
New Exec team is beginning to gel. The company has a new direction and is heading into new territory.

    Cons

Still a few good ol' boys working in the mid to upper level management but it is getting better.

    Advice to Management

Unfortunately I think it is time for the CEO to step aside. He has done an incredible job getting the company to where it is today... very successful. However, it is time for him to step aside and let the new COO take control. Let her take the company to the next level.

    Pros

Great place to "own" your job. If you're passionate about your job and want to be able to make a change in the organization, this is the place to be.

    Cons

It is currently in the growth phase and while this isn't a negative, it does mean that you have to get used to changes within the organization.

    Advice to Management

Continue to move forward in the direction you are headed.

    Pros

a growing list of products to sell... a comp plan that rewards those that can close... advancement opportunity for those that are interested... great benefits

    Cons

Sales Ops... they are the one weak link at Neustar... It's often times harder to sell a deal internally than it is to sell it externally... there is high turn over but that is true of any sales organization

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring people without relevant sales experience... The head count in sales is too high... A leaner more efficient sales staff will put up bigger numbers

    Pros

    Solid long term company vision
    Expanding market opportunity
Positive work enviornment - team oriented culture
    Strong technology heritage

    Cons

Needs to keep getting more market focused

    Advice to Management

Continue to push vision of information and analytics, invest more in "front end" of the business (marketing, sales), save in back end (admin, finance, etc...)

    Pros

My subset company (one that was acquired) is an incredible place to work. Awesome co workers, very flexible, smart, motivated and collaborative.

    Cons

The overall organization is unwieldy and somewhat limiting. They are lurching slowly towards a new fresh direction, but pushing such a large company towards that will take time.

    Pros

Customer-focused company which does an outstanding job in delivering results, particularly in the critical NPAC business, which is an important part of the nation's telecommunications infrastructure. The company takes its responsibility of being a trusted, neutral third party provider very seriously. Recent acquisitions under the new leadership team (TARGUSinfo and the numbering assets of Evolving Systems Inc.) have gone very smoothly.

The company has recently made all employees equity owners of the company with RSU and PVRSU grants issued to all employees. This is extremely rare and only 10% or so of companies actually do this.

    Cons

There are still a few entitled whiners from the "old days" still around that need to be weeded out. Ignore the whining and you'll find a new crop of energetic and excited people.

    Advice to Management

Continue the transformation to an information and analytics company, derived from addressing. The strategy has people excited and willing to go to work every day. Keep weeding out those who don't share the Neustar Behaviors--Energy, Curiosity, Solving, Stretching, Adjusting and Collaborating.

    Pros

Exciting projects and a new direction.
    Great benefits and work/life balance.
    Transforming to an Internet culture.

    Cons

Lingering sticks in the mud who are dialing it in make it hard to get things done sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Keep over-communicating the new strategy. If we can get a better picture as to how the new strategy affects each business unit, that would be great.

I have been working at Neustar full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I really like the culture here and have felt very welcomed in my new role. The work environment is relaxed and everyone seems to be very friendly. I've been able to get up to speed very quickly here and already feel that I'm making an impact.

    Cons

The interview process took longer than I expected, and I had a few different offers at the time.
