    Pros

Making a difference in foster youth lives. Free food. Potential free housing for house parents. If you stay long enough, you become part of a family. Made me teach myself to cook. Management is open to creative ideas. Preview of being a parent to teenagers. Role model.

    Cons

Takes time to develop relationship with youth and feel comfortable with position. Pay is minimal. Horrible benefits. Employee turnover. Difficult clients. Depending on shift, may have to cook.

    Pros

Hope to make a difference. Clients can be so compliant however, lack understanding thus, the delay their progress. Good training however they place you in the hardest cases and the supervisor sucks but everyone knows from day one they kids will tell you why. Management is good thou.

    Cons

Too many to write but as they wrote in previews reviews unfortunately it tends to be all true.

    Pros

    Cons

-No support from management. -Management would not support you if there was a problem. -Management really did not care about you. -Did I mention management? -No holidays off, no extra pay for holidays, no comp time. -When things went bad, it could be a highly stressful and dangerous environment. -Pay was horrible with few raises and no promotions.

    Pros

Rewarding job where you can make a difference in the lives of children and teens. Working with like-minded and caring people.

    Cons

The job requires a lot of emotional energy and can leave you feeling empty and in need to vent at the end of your workday.
