I have been working at New Castle Hotels full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Once a year, during the month that you began employment, they will give you a paid day off. So if you started in September, every subsequent year you can take a paid day off any time during the month of September

    Cons

Poor communication between departments. And not enough action to deal with poor employees . people should be fired and they never are.

I worked at New Castle Hotels full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunity for advancement, gain skills to take to other jobs, work with others or by yourself, fast paced at times.

    Cons

Front desk manager ray doesn't rain employees properly and has a bad attitude toward co-workers and guests alike frequently. Management aside from accounting promotes people who aren't qualified to fill spots making other employees jobs much more difficult at times. Especially when very busy. No accountability in management. Leads to resentment between employees because problems aren't resolved properly.

    Advice to Management

Make a stronger effort to keep tabs on department managers to ensure things are getting done the way you want. Good managers accountable for decisions made on the watch and snuff out interdepartmental disputes or resentment. On a personal note. Offer employees help in finding treatment if they have a disorder you are made aware of. Especially if you don't understand it. Give employees the trust to come to you with problems that affect there work.

I have been working at New Castle Hotels full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They do not micromanage and empower teams to make decisions to enhance the guest and employee experience. There is a culture of work-life balance and they truly care about their employees.

    Cons

Company is small with little turnover so, understandably, as a result, there is not a lot of room for advancement.
