I worked at New England Sinai Hospital (More than 10 years)
I was employed at Sinai for 25+ years, and the experience (work environment, cooperation, acknowledgement) was great until the hospital was acquired by Steward. Sinai was truly a family of great, talented, compassionate, caring people working together to provide the very best in patient care
Little/no regard for employees as "people". It became all about the bottom line. I understand that you must be fiscally responsible, but at what cost?
Advice to Management
Motivate employees by providing nurturing environment and make them feel valued. It's amazing how far a little show of appreciation can go.
It is a good place to go to get experience. You will see and learn a lot at this hospital.
No raises, They do not value their employees here at all! There are no incentives to stay at this hospital whatsoever.

Great President, empowers employees to make suggestions for changes to improve quality and safety, and reduce expenses. Truly comes from the top down.
Employees still living in past from before Steward acquisition. Some need to embrace changes and move on.
Good benefits and close camaraderie between staff were great perks. Having an employee of the month and year was a great morale booster.
The tendency of staff to stay for years and years led to some superior supervisors, but also some that were no longer effective.
