I worked at New Jersey Devils full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Met a lot of great friends, they were all generally around my age. They were all the reason why I got myself out of bed everyday to go to work 60 hours a week

    Cons

Terrible management. Once the new people got hired and started being shady and firing everyone, they didn't even get to know us. It completely ruined to job. We basically had to live at this place and they made it unbearable.

I worked at New Jersey Devils full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The environment was amazing! The staff was awesome and management was on point. Tons of work perks and great work culture. Working the games was the coolest experience.

    Cons

The pay is terrible. Tickets sales is by far, the worst job ever only because you feel like a monkey doing the same thing everyday. Your commission can get chopped up to almost nothing depending on how the clients pay. Everything else about the company is great, but the long hours a redundancy or each day is not worth the pay at all.

I feared limited room for growth. The next pay grade was barley a raise and making moves in the company was impossible unless you had a proven sales record that was exceptional.

    Advice to Management

Management is wonderful, but we can't pay our bills with smiles. For the hours, there needs to be some serious salary considering.

I have been working at New Jersey Devils part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love the people that I've met while working for the Devils and I've created great relationships with many of the season ticket holders and sales representatives.

    Cons

There is very little room for growth and they tend to look outside the company for full-time positions and internships.

    Advice to Management

Help your current employees grow more, you will find more people will be loyal to the company. You need to lay out possible career paths for your employees.

    Pros

Do something you love. Great people. Fast paced. Fun environment. Learn something new ever day. Interact with fans. Lots of hockey games and concerts. Awesome benefits. Free season tickets. Great to share with family and friends.

    Cons

Long hours, low pay. Little appreciation for your work. Expect to head home after 10 pm on week nights. Bad commute.

    Advice to Management

Different management since I have been there.

    Pros

Very professional organization. Well organized from the top down and even more enjoyable to be a part of on game nights.

    Cons

Some long days working on game nights. Very busy during the season, but makes the days go by quicker.

I worked at New Jersey Devils full-time

    Pros

Great Training, fun environment. They will create a good selling platform and set you up for success. However, the product is tough to sell ad the industry overall is a grind

    Cons

Poor Salary, even poorer commission package. Can get lost in the mix of reps. Very cut throat - if you do not meet your sales goals they will fire you
