I have been working at New Signature full-time

    Pros

    Savvy business professionals
    Capital to invest and grow
    Focused business plan
    Highly technical (Microsoft Technology)

    Cons

Focused on growing fast by acquisition to the detriment of staff
Disappearing learning and employee growth opportunities
Less than honest about benefits to employees, business strategy and goals
CEO is now a financial professional (Jeff Tench) that doesn't uphold the original company values

    Advice to Management

Their business plan is tied very closely to Microsoft's success or failure. They always had a flat management structure which is now struggling to scale with the acquisition of multiple companies to the point that they are very fractured. The manta is now "everyone" is replaceable and they are shedding talented and experienced professionals.

I worked at New Signature full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Solid leadership and management and a very well run company. Good benefits. Great location. Exciting and challenging work. Great location. Growing company with lots of room to move laterally or vertically. CEO, COO, CFO are all really solid all around.

    Cons

Very strict office hours were required (part of the customer service focus). However, almost never expected to work overtime.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

I have been working at New Signature full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are some VERY smart people there and a willingness to share knowledge. There is also some great opportunity to further your career. They have a seemingly good relationships with Microsoft.

    Cons

The org structure is peculiar at best. A top heavy organization with far too many bosses. Company has changed dramatically since they took on outside capitol. My personal experience was zero input from management on performance or direction. Bottom line, it's just not the same as it was 2 years ago...

    Advice to Management

    bring back Chris Hertz...

I have been working at New Signature full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Company is financially sound with a solid investment from Columbia Capital. There is an incredible talent pool which if managed properly could accomplish great things.

    Cons

Several senior titles are occupied by unqualified individuals who retain their position due to politics and upper management looking the other way.
Growing through acquisition is done through the bolt on model with zero consideration for consolidation of knowledge or resources. New organizations joining the firm prefer to stay autonomous because of how poorly the shared systems are put together.

    Advice to Management

Take a good hard look at your "leaders" and begin to shed the dead weight. Listen to your lower level staff who in many cases are more experienced than leadership for what they have to say about the state of affairs. Don't turn a blind eye to the chaos which pervades the organization and embrace the power of change from within.

The company is going through some growing pains after some recent acquisitions, as they figure out how business practices will fit together.
