Why I Love What I Do!

Aug 9, 2022 - Long Term Disability Claim Manager

    Pros

Some of the best reasons to work with NYL is the people. Many of the people that I come across are individuals who have had their lives turned upside down. They are learning a new normal in their lives and that is terrifying especially when you had goals/plans. They need someone who has empathy and patience as this is a new journey for them being on disability. I had a claimant say that she couldn't do this without me. That was the greatest gift to me because that is why I do it. To provide individuals with hope and knowledge so they can find their way through this dark/tough time in their life. There is nothing greater than being there for someone who is lost and cannot see their light. I love being that person that gives a claimants peace of mind because life is hard enough without some sentiment of stability and hope.

    Cons

There really aren't any con(s) for the job itself. The technical transition was tough - from one company to another - however, it doesn't take away from what keeps me here.
