    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at New York Magazine full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You can communicate between departments and multiple titles very easily. Really creative group of people and the environment thrives on young creative thoughts.

    Cons

Pay is not competitive. Training is non-existent. Career advancement is few and far in between. Sales tools are non-existent. Constant turnover results in strained relationships with clients.

    Advice to Management

Create career paths and offer incentives for Junior roles and develop a strict training regime to ensure all parties are aware of new products and basic protocols. Match 401k.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at New York Magazine for more than a year

    Pros

Great product that the leadership is always investing in.

    Cons

Sales Management leads through intimidation. Upper Management is fearful of the ownership of the company. and leads through intimidation and tantrums. They run a very tight ship without increases, reviews or any change of upward mobility. Sales people are given unreachable goals.

    Pros

Great digital properties, great product, allow you to be independent and creative with your work

    Cons

Disorganized, poor leadership, unprofessional environment, They don't give their sales people their goals until really late (June/July) and don't seem to have any issue with how it really affects their performance, manipulative leadership and no real process or systems.

    Advice to Management

understand what makes company culture great and please for the love of god stop playing mind games with your employees.
