    -family oriented

    -very good benefits
-good work hours and holiday/vacation/time off benefits

    Cons

-not a lot of career growth

    Advice to Management

Give employees growth opportunities and a chance to prove themselves. People leave for career opportunities elsewhere.

    Pros

The college offers excellent benefits and as a friendly staff. Part-time schedule is pretty flexible. Campus is beautiful and many improvements going on.

    Cons

Upper management is a bit chaotic. There is a lot of change going on now, and many of the senior staff are transitioning out of the college.

    Pros

small community, open door policy and friendly colleagues

    Cons

limited research opportunities and limited advancement

  8. "Nice, trusting people. Not the greatest campus"

    Pros

Good opportunities for those looking to get experience. I did bench research, and the PI of my lab was very nice and understanding. He was a very good teacher, which may speak to the quality of education here. Everyone one I came in contact with was lovely to work with, as well. Good parking. Easy administration to work with.

    Cons

The campus isn't great and it feels a little empty. Not sure how great the facilities are in comparison to other science research institutions.

    Advice to Management

Better advertising for the school. Maybe look into more college summer internships. I think the website could use some updating as well.

I worked at New York Medical College part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a small community, and I appreciated the camaraderie, and not having to worry so much about the competitiveness and back-stabbing that can take place at larger academic institutions. The people are great and the environment is chill.

    Cons

Resources can be limited, and tech and equipment and such can be outdated. But again, the right environment can make up for those things.

  10. "Exciting research in numerous areas.... close knit community"

I worked at New York Medical College full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

great place to gain valuable experience for newbies...employees can attend the graduate program for free after 1 year of work. Invaluable!!

    Cons

the pay is generally lower in academia but if you want to attend graduate school, the trade off is worth it.
