    Pros

If you love baseball and a yankees fan this the job for you

    Cons

The seasonal nature of the job and the limited hours you can work. In addition, the lack of upward mobility

    Advice to Management

Provide a pathway for employees to advance from seasonal into full-time roles

    Pros

Great place to work. 99% of coworkers are awesome. Get to have a lot of fun personal interactions with fans. Get to work the manual scoreboards in the outfield. Sometimes concessions workers hook you up with free food (wish it were more often because a lot of the food is awesome :-P ) Awesome supervisors who bring you scarfs, knitted caps and handwarmers when its cold while allowing you to take extra breaks if its incredibly hot outside. They are also very understanding when it comes to taking time off. Flexible schedules. Pay is awesome. Adding the Yankees to my resume has gotten me more interviews. Despite some downsides overall this is probably the best job I've ever had.

    Cons

Your schedule is either busy or slooooooooooooow. No in between. Only a seasonal position so there are no benefits and there is an hours cap. You're the face of the franchise so if something goes wrong customers will take it out on you. You're on your feet pretty much the whole time so buy at least 3 pairs of comfortable shoes so you can alternate them. Only give you two shirts so you're always washing them when the schedule gets busy in order to avoid killing people with your smelly armpits. Working outside during the summer can be brutal. Doesn't seem as if there is a lot of room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Overall they are awesome. I just wish they would catch the one employee who is universally acknowledged to phone it in every time they work. We all have our days when we have no energy but we all at least try to make it look like we do. That employee doesn't.

I worked at New York Yankees (More than a year)

    Pros

The New York Yankees offered a great environment to work in. Most career opportunities there are fast paced & the salaries are solid.

    Cons

The New York Yankees are little behind when it cones to technology depending on what department you work in. The neighborhood surrounding the stadium can be pretty noisy at times due to the subway system in the area.

    Advice to Management

Management here could be better at making employees aware of all policies & proceedings that come up constantly for new hires & employees.

I have been working at New York Yankees part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked as a vendor at a food stand selling the typical ballpark food. It was a fun atmosphere working in a sport venue. The job was flexible as you only worked when the team was playing at home. You get to work for New York's baseball team.

    Cons

There are periods of high stress where the lines seem never ending. You are expected to pack hot dogs etc. at the speed of light. Little room to grow when starting behind the counter.

    Advice to Management

Employees who remain loyal and work hard should be promoted from within
