I worked at New York & Company full-time

    Pros

The company pays all employees weekly.

    Cons

Lack of leadership, lack of teamwork, HR is absolutely no help in resolving conflict. Expected to work of the clock to get things done. Your personal life has to be non-existent. This company does not care about quality of life!

    Advice to Management

Do not work here! They will stunt your growth, underpay you and not appreciate your time and experience. Moving up is based on who you know or who likes you... not on your performance or productivity. Worst company I’ve ever worked for.

I have been working at New York & Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great discount on fashionable clothes. Great group of women to work with,

    Cons

Reduction in payroll hours keeps associates and managers from doing their best job. Really hard to help customers with the amount of tasks to complete everyday. Everything is focused on getting customers to open the store credit card. Sales are down and there is a pay freeze.

    Advice to Management

HQ needs to focus less on audits, daily paperwork, daily marketing changes. There should be payroll for training new sales associates and better starting wages otherwise the turnover will continue to be high.
