Pros
Professional development, High compensation. great people to work with. willing to promote early. Lots of perks and fun events. I have achieved more than I ever imagined since starting with ND. When I started, I had no confidence and was terrified of public speaking. Now, I feel like I can achieve anything and love training and speaking.
Cons
Over-achievers and stand outs will absolutely love it here. Average and below average employees will hate it. NewDay rewards the heck out of the top 50% but the bottom performers will feel pressure and don't last very long. The hours are too long to work here if you are not going to make a lot of money and get promoted.

Pros
NewDay has an extremely competitive, driven and young atmosphere, which I love. The vibe on the sales floor is always running at full speed and it helps with motivation and morale. The opportunity provided is incredible and rare to find for young professionals fresh out of college. Never could I imagine the ability to earn this type of money at my age. One of the best parts about NewDay is that all the marketing is taken care of and leads are provided directly to you every single day. That's not a common occurrence in the mortgage industry.
Cons
The mortgage industry is a roller coaster industry with major ups and downs. It can be hard sometimes when those lows hit and you have to climb your way out. Its wears on you sometimes. The hours are long and there are some late nights in the office but nothing young professionals wouldn't expect elsewhere. It's sometimes hard to manage that work/life balance but it is doable.

Thanks for sharing your feedback on working at NewDay USA. We’re happy you have found the company a great place to work. Indeed, we have a highly energetic and motivated team, and we offer generous compensation packages with bonuses for great performance and hard work. We also appreciate the importance of having a work/life balance, which is why we recently launched a program that enables employees to choose their career tracks and hours, with some careers only requiring 45 hours per week, with no need to work on weekends. And yes, the mortgage industry can be cyclical by nature, which is why resilience is one of our core values, and we are thriving and quickly growing as a result. Here’s wishing you continued success!

Pros
Newday is a great environment to start your career out of college. The hours are long but everyone that your work with are motivated and it makes the time more tolerable. The pay is very good and there is a lot of opportunity to advance and become a leader.
Cons
Long hours. Bonus are good but the commission isn't great depending on the department.

Pros
Competitive starting salary and they basically pay you while they prepare you to take the NMLS exam to get your mortgage license.
Cons
Long hours and you will be required to stay even longer than those hours if you want to succeed here. You need to basically eat and breathe this job, otherwise its not worth it. Which works for some people but just didn't work for me.

Pros
The AE position gives people right out of college a 60k base which is on the high end of the job market. There are a lot of managers who were given the opportunity to advance extremely fast compared to other jobs right out of college. The sales floor is a fun environment and you can feel the energy when you walk in the door. Met a lot of friends while working here.
Cons
Hours are long and some new managers are not as good as others

Pros
One of the best things about working at New Day has been their dedication to investing in their employee’s personal and professional growth. Right off the bat new hires are placed into a 1 month SAFE class where they teach you the ins and outs of the industry and prepare you tremendously to pass the SAFE exam. I personally pivoted into the industry with little to no knowledge of mortgages, and came out of that training camp feeling confident as ever and very well prepared to start a position in a new field. The potential for leadership growth is something that sticks out, both the processing and sales department have structured mentee/mentor programs that not only allow mentee’s to tap into their co-workers for guidance, but also allow high performers to get a taste of what it’s like to lead someone and help others succeed. Being a mentor helped me tap into my leadership abilities, and quickly lead to a promotion to captain. My leaders saw my potential, desire to learn and grow, and ability to help those around me, and within the next year I was given 2 promotions up to AVP with exposure to various leadership trainings and endless support along the way. I now have that same honor of running my own team and being able to guide those under me, and help them to achieve their goals. Alongside of the day to day, I also worked through the Accelerated Underwriting Program that they offer and obtained my CRU Certification within 1 ½ years of starting with the company. The program was a great window to learning about underwriting and credit risk, and has helped me advance in my day to day job by applying what I learned throughout the courses. There’s not a day that goes by where I’m not learning something new here!
Cons
It’s a fast paced environment and requires some long hours which some people may not be open to

Pros
NewDay USA provides their employees with every tool necessary to be successful in the mortgage industry and beyond. This is because the training that they provide inevitably sets you up for success if you are willing to work hard. Additionally, the compensation that NewDay provides to their employees is unrivaled. The starting salary is well above the average for a recent college graduate, and you are paid commissions on top of that. The work environment at NewDay USA is environment like I have never seen before. You are surrounded by young, driven, self-motivated, like-minded people, who are all working together to achieve the same goals. The management is always pushing you to reach your maximum potential by enforcing good habits inside and outside of work, continuously setting new goals for you, and generously rewarding employees who meet the set goals. The management pushes you to reach your maximum potential because they promote heavily from within, so there are ample opportunities for promotions and professional growth. This company strongly believes in promoting employees based on things like work ethic, quality of work, and integrity rather than experience or time in the company. So, it doesn't matter if you have been with the company for 6 months or 6 years, if you deserve a promotion you will get it. Moreover, the work that you are doing is extremely rewarding. It is so rewarding because you have the opportunity to serve military veterans who have selflessly served our country.
Cons
One of the biggest cons of working at NewDay USA is having to work long hours. If you are not willing to work hard day in and day out and you are looking for a typical 9-5, this might not be the job for you. At the end of the day however, this is the type of job where you get back what you put in to it. Another con is that your production is constantly monitored, and there will be consequences if you are not producing at the set standards. Although this is a con, it is something that you can expect at any sales position, as production is the biggest contributor to the company’s success. Additionally, they do not set unreasonable standards so if you work hard and do what you are supposed to do, you will have nothing to worry about.

Pros
Great first job out of college! I have learned so much about the mortgage industry which is a great background to have. Wonderful people to work with too.
Cons
Long hours and not very flexible with the hours either

Pros
They pay for all licensing and higher education You will learn a ton about the industry. I came in pretty green but have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and skill. The people that you work with are great. They seem to do a great job with the hiring process and bring in a lot of like-minded, hardworking, eager and overall good people There is potential to make really good money, as long as you are willing to put in the work Great perks and benefits Your manager genuinely wants to see you win, and they promote primarily based on merit You have an opportunity to actually make a significant difference in veterans' lives and that first time you hear the heartfelt gratitude and genuine relief when you ease the financial struggle of a veteran is priceless
Cons
You will have to work long hours if you want to get ahead and be successful There are a lot of factors outside of your control that you have to adapt to, with the pressure of hitting deadlines for the company and for the veteran - it can be very frustrating There is sometimes a communication barrier between departments that makes it difficult to have empathy and work out problems
