Pros
Great resume builder with how quickly you can get promoted if your half decent at selling
Cons
Very little work life balance if you want to make money - you also have to basically have process your own loans from app to close

Pros
“Pay” but that’s debatable since Newday clearly doesn’t understand the difference between a salaried and waged job The most redeeming part of working here is the people that you meet
Cons
Pay which is misleading because they advertise it as a salary but in actuality it’s a wage job and to reach 60k you have to work MINIMUM 9 hours overtime. If you haven’t already noticed there’s a bunch of reviews left on June 20th and you guessed it, it was management asking us to leave reviews so the company looks better and it’s easier to recruit gullible people. Office is a corporate frat house People on sales floor look miserable from the amount of sleep they get and the long hours they’re working. Work life balance is nonexistent

Pros
Make decent money straight out of college and learn a lot about the mortgage industry
Cons
There are definitely way more cons than pros: 1) There's no work life balance here. You will be at work from morning to night. 9am-8:30pm or sometimes to 9pm. During the interview process they tell you will work every other Saturday, but you actually end up working 2 or 3 Saturdays in a row. Also, I'm not sure why they call it unlimited PTO because they will deny it. You have to choose which holiday you're going to spend with your family because they will not approve it. 2) They don't value your time here. Be prepared to work outside your schedule. If you're scheduled to start work at 9 am they will put a meeting on your schedule at 8:30am in the morning and you're expected to attend even with no notice. Same thing if you're scheduled to get off at 8:30pm, they will schedule a meeting 30 mins before your schedule time to leave and you will leave work past 9pm at night. 3) Managers are bad. Micromanagement - there are managers who make you feel made for leaving your desk and harp over you for anything, you're there for 12hr a day you should be able to leave your desk when you want to. Also, managers really don't care about you they only care about themselves and will get annoyed by you asking questions. 4) Unprofessional. Everyone there is in their 20s including the managers, so the professionalism is awful, they will literally single you out in meetings and bully you. They curse in meeting, some will call you names either in front of you or behind your back. They also make inappropriate comments to their subordinates. 5) Turnover rate is atrocious. If you're there for a year you would be considered as a vet because no one last long here, whether that's by choice or not. Either you're let go or you quit because you can't handle it. All in all, if I would not recommend working here. If you do, it should be short term, make some money and leave. They will suck the life out of you.

Pros
There are many reasons why I love the company I work for. There are endless amounts of opportunities within the company along with training to help with your growth. The company helps everyone understand the mortgage company as a whole and understanding the laws / guidelines that are within the industry. They do not hire outside the company, much is within the company. They do constant quarterly reviews to give you an understanding of where you stand within the expectations and standards, and tools and plan to utilize to grow and pursue any opportunity you feel you can obtain to obtain a promotion and better your career. They have amazing compensation and rewards for your hard work. Not many companies out there that compensate and reward you for your success and growth like this company does. Hard work and dedication you bring you a far way with this company as it is an open playing field and you control your own destiny. The company is very upfront about the hours and workload they expect and the standards they set, this helps set the tone and give you an opportunity to go as far as you want within the company. I must say, this is the first company where I do not feel micro-managed. The senior leadership and the management team is one of the best. They help train you for a career always and give you an opportunity if you want to step up. Management on the operations side by run by Nicole Novella is a big part of why the company is where they are now. She promotes within and strides to help her team in anyway she can. She motivates everyone daily and created such an amazing atmosphere which is the reason why I love coming into work everyday. The company is growing at a fast pace and creating many opportunities for others to step up as they start their own servicing company, grow the Purchase division / FHA program and still have one main goal, do anything we can to give the best customer service and help our veterans.
Cons
The only con I can think of is the negativity that gets portrayed toward the company, that in turn gives others a different opinion and thought on the company as a whole. the company is a great place with many opportunities. Understanding a good work life balance is important. This is not the place for someone who does not want to put their all and their heart into their work.

The people you work with genuinely want to see everyone succeed. The company pays for all training and teaches you everything you need to know about the mortgage industry. The pay is very good and the bonuses and commission is attainable right from the start. The VPs AVPs and leaders at the company were great and truly care about the success of their peers.

The work life balance makes it extremely easily for this job to burn you out.

NewDay USA will give you an opportunity to make great money out of college. No other company gives that kind of opportunity to recent Grads. Great sales training and practice. Free licenses. The best co-workers. Nice work environment(sales floor was fun at one time)
Cons
NO WORK LIFE BALANCE(Employees literally don't care because they are overworked and need balance in their life) JUNIOR PAY PLAN.(YOLO let me pay employees doing the same job different commission) Deducting 20% of pay for not bringing in a new hire(Some people have trouble selling a sweat shop as a career opportunity) Different Routers - Even the playing field and stop saying that it is even.
