I worked at NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You can stay a long time, benefits are good, tuition reimbursement is good

    Cons

restrictive environment too many petty rules. short 1/2 hour lunch you don't have time to eat. Many unhappy dept employees. Horrible pay.....

    Advice to Management

Follow up. Listen to staff. Create a training program (there isn't one). Pay better salaries (start at $31,000 horrible). Too many team leaders who don't know how to manage staff. Better communcation. And moral in that dept is really bad. People feel stuck and unhappy and many told me so every day.

    Pros

Smart dedicated people work daily committed to making patients better and their overall experience as good as can be

    Cons

Non-stop. There is a lot of pressure, and high expectations. Must be able to perform in that type of environment.

    Advice to Management

do not make all decisions based on bottom line. More nurses and NAs are needed to ensure patients are responded to in timely fashion.
