    Pros

    Good benefits: great medical plan, 4 weeks vacation, 4 personal days, 8 holidays, 12 sick days. Also good retirement benefits. Union job.

    Cons

    Not all coworkers are good. Good work is not appreciated. Preferences based on connections. Not easy to get days off approved.

    Advice to Management

    Show appreciation for good workers

    Lots of Overtime, great co-workers, challenging cases

    Cons

    Competitive leadership politics, physician politics, Too many cooks in the kitchen and the location the location and the location.

    Advice to Management

    Leadership belongs in the hands of qualified employees who have dedicated decades of their life to this institution.

    Pros

    The hospital has strong name recognition and one of the top hospitals in NYC. They have great staff and hospital is expanding.

    Cons

    The salary is not as competitive and the benefits are not the greatest. The room for growth is limited and budget is tight.

    Advice to Management

    The communication between staff and management can be improved. Provide more continuing education opportunities and reimbursement to conferences.

    Some AMAZING co-workers on your team

    Cons

    Lack of respect for nurses from other different departments
    Management does not staff unit fully. A regular night can have a unsafe nurse to patient ratio

    The best place I've ever worked! Caring people. Mission driven. Staff take their jobs seriously. The dedication people have to patient care is above and beyond. Very helpful Talent Acquisition team.

    Cons

    Takes a while to steer things in a different direction, but at least the hospital is open to new ideas.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to speak about the Credo. Continue to be visible. Our leaders need to be approachable and they are.
