I have been working at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Night shift coworkers, fun patients/work (Mother Baby). Awesome charge nurses even when we are understaffed I feel well supported. A high level of professionalism from support staff, clerks, cleaners, dietary. A lot of people who have worked there 10+ or 20+ years.

    Cons

Day shift coworkers complaining about assignment, understaffed shifts. We can't do our jobs well when we have too many patients.

    Advice to Management

Hire some new people already so we're not chronically understaffed!!

Every job you do at NYP impacts the overall care of a patient which makes for the most rewarding career imaginable. The respect that is given at all levels of the organization is second to none. Everyone feels important every day. The benefits are incredible and they have an amazing employee wellness program. They really and truly care about their employees overall wellbeing.

    Cons

This is the first job where I can say there are really no cons!

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

I have been working at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are many pros to working here. There are many career opportunities (a TA rep has reached out to me on multiple occasions to see if I would be interested in different career opportunities). My VP cares deeply about his team and truly respects employees having balance in their work and life. Lastly, NYP has created a culture of Respect. I am so proud to work at an institution that values all individuals regardless of title or position.

    Cons

Sometimes things are done inefficiently and hiring process can be lengthy.
