    Positive Outlook

    Pros

The people here are making a committed effort to bring in the best talent.

    Cons

The University is still learning how to run a university

    Advice to Management

The Catholic Identity needs to be emphasized - the Wichita Diocese is Orthodox, and the administration should emphasize that to attract in-city students.

I have been working at Newman University full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Most colleagues share passion for the mission of the university and its students.

    Cons

Constant budget crisis, poor governance, very high turnover at all levels including entry level, middle level administrators, short- and long- term faculty, and especially cabinet. President treats her cabinet with hostility, and that hostility rolls downhill.

    Advice to Management

Stop the president from yelling at her subordinates, throwing things, and generally acting an in un-Christian manner at this Catholic university.
