Pros
Some management showed care. Ability to impact clients lives. Teachers are allowed to create their own curriculum in some cases. Raises are frequent.
Cons
Does not offer opportunity to grow. Does not support employee mental health. Allowed harassment in the work place. If you are salaried, that means you are required to work unreasonable hours. Very little training and expected to perform at high levels. HR does not follow up/through on anything.

Do not work here or send your kids here!!!!!
Mar 22, 2023 - Care Coordinator in Oakley, UTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The concept of this facility is great. They just can’t figure out how to make it work.
Cons
This place is the worst place I’ve ever worked. The management is awful. The Director of this facility. Gary does nothing. There’s contention with all departments. Everybody wants to be in charge. The cc are treated awful. There’s no communication. They have 45 kids and no clinicians to help them. These kids are coming in for treatment and they cant help any clients because they have seven clinicians to 45 kids. This facility is causing these kids, more trauma, and doing them a major disservice. Newport is all about the money. They’re not in it for the kids.

Worst Place to Work EVER
Mar 8, 2023 - Therapist in Los Angeles, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
There were some nice ppl to work with -- some higher up positions were supportive but overall this place is driven by greed and it is a whole system probelm. There are not many pros to working for this company.
Cons
Imagine working in a therapy mill that is solely concerned with filling beds and making money with a very beautiful facade and a very tainted underbelly. This is one of the most toxic environments I've ever worked in. In a high level of care it is expected to have issues due to clients with CPTSD, anxiety, OCD, depression, SI, etc. But it was not the clients that were the worst it was actually the employees. And the food is awful and when clients had food restrictions the chef often often would ignore them and provide no food for the client. So clients with eating disorders suffered evermore.

Toxic department
Mar 21, 2023 - Admissions Coordinator in Irvine, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The only good thing is the potential to earn bonuses
Cons
Toxic workplace. Majority of the managers need to learn how to be a proper manager. Either they are not supportive and absent or they are micromanagers and watch your every move. Staff are left always feeling burnout. People have gone on extended leave due to their mental health from this job or have quit without a back up plan (new job) because it’s so bad.

Poor resources for management, favoritism and poor compliance
May 2, 2023 - Associate Clinical DirectorRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Ability to rise in ranks quickly (can move to ACD in six months with little prior experience)
Cons
High staff turnover, poor implementation and standardization of what should be mandatory practices from the top down. Most regions are siloed with two little over sore from national allowing poor compliance and little consequences.
