I worked at NewsMax Media full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The on-boarding process was very organized.
Free snacks/drinks. They are receptive to employee suggestions and ideas. Helpful & supportive sales managers.

    Cons

Products are very hard to sell due to low performance and outdated digital options. This makes it hard to retain clients as long lasting buyers. Mostly one and dones, which will hinder hitting your monthly sales goals and making commissions.
Very high turn over with reps/managers.

    Advice to Management

Money should really be spent in helping the sales department.

    Pros

The chance to get a lot of experience in different roles with their TV operation, since it was essentially a "startup."

The fact that it was a startup led to austerity measures that adversely affected the quality of the programming.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at NewsMax Media full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Friendly colleagues, free food, good location

    Cons

The company is wasting money and resources on a TV network that no one watches, while its mobile app is a catastrophe. People are moving to mobile devices, but you'd never guess that working at Newsmax. Work hours are intentionally vague to keep people on the job too long. There's no respect for employees.

    Advice to Management

Work on developing a stronger culture that motivates people to succeed. Instead, everyone in constant fear of incrimination and dismissal.
