Forward thinking company making a difference.
Mar 1, 2023 - Journeyman ElectricianRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Everyone in the company is focused on the mission and is a developing subject matter expert. There's a big emphasis on work-life balance and your overall well-being. You start with everything you need to get going! Tools, tech, gear and even a new truck. Small and close-knit teams ensure that you feel like you're part of a family.
Cons
Not too many complaints, as long as you're ok with putting in the hours to get things done.

Recognize Revenue and Interface with Utilities
Nov 2, 2022 - Revenue Operations AnalystRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Nexamp employs people who genuinely care about the energy transition. My coworkers were intelligent, thoughtful, and empathetic - I never had a day in over 3 years where I went to work questioning the importance and impact of the work I was doing and I believe that mentality was shared across the org. Fun people to work with who care and are good at their job - at least at the mid/senior level.
Cons
Nexamp ballooned in size over my tenure. Working in energy sales then operations gave me some perspective (not a lot - Nexamp is truly an IPP in the making) on how resources were allocated and what business units were capitalized over others. Attention to customer retention and operations was nearly absent for the first 7 months I spent in Revenue Ops and had clearly been that way for a long time. the department was being held together by a group of extremely hard working, young individuals - the strain on those individuals was enormous. Sales and Operations departments were combining as I left the company; I'm sure serious improvements are being made to prevent similar strain. My time on Operations burned me out completely, but I'm hopeful for the business unit's future.

Pros
I love Nexamp’s mission and commitment to the environment and making energy accessible and equitable. The company really walks the walks and takes action even beyond the regular business activities to shape and participate in the green movement.
Cons
Specifically in the accounting department, there are many complex transactions and high volume of work. I have learned so much in my time here but it has been very challenging work.

We welcome you to share your feedback with your manager on any other things we can be doing for you - we take feedback from our team members seriously and want to make sure your concerns are addressed. Nexamp is a great place to work
Sep 6, 2022 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The employees are smart and kind. The company is genuinely concerned with making the world a better place. There are opportunities for cross-functional work and learning. It's a good place to learn what it's like to be in the renewable energy developer space. The PTO policy is very flexible as long as you do your work and do it well.
Cons
The salary may not be as competitive as other similar companies, though this can be due to its high growth goals. Sometimes operations and data sharing can be unorganized and inefficient.
Nexamp Response
Nexamp Team
Nexamp contracts with several agencies across the US in its construction division. As he/she stated, this poster is a contractor with one of those agencies. The issues, while concerning for us, are related to the agency as their employer and not to Nexamp. We have limited control over policies and procedures that agencies put in place for their contractors. The poster clearly assumes they work directly for Nexamp; however they do not. I would like to request that this post be taken down as it inaccurately portrays pay practices at Nexamp. We also request the poster please reach out directly to Nexamp to provide feedback as we would like to address the agency for whom they work directly.
