I have been working at Nexant full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    5% 401k, 9 day sick leave, 3 floating leave

    Cons

Lack of overall leadership and unprofessionalism of certain upper management

    Advice to Management

when you see people leaving (some without a job to go to) on their own, did you ever wonder why? The major asset for a consulting firm is not cash, it's human capital.

I have been working at Nexant (More than a year)

    Pros

I love the flexibility of my position and the autonomy I am given. I am able to determine my own initiatives, as long as they are in line with the large scale goals. This company runs its business units independently, and we each contribute to the greater good of the company. I enjoy the work that we do as a whole, along with the specific functions of my position. I am able to work collaboratively with my manager, which I appreciate. My coworkers make it worth coming in daily, as we each drive our own destiny here.

    Cons

Change in an organization takes time, and any implementation of new processes and systems will also take time.

    Advice to Management

Keep engaging the employees across the business units. Thank you to HR, who remind us that we are valued through the Hubbub challenges.

-No proper training giving to Junior staff

    Advice to Management

Invest in Junior staff so that they can have a reason to stay

    Pros

nice people, very helpful, no office politics, everybody works as a team and people are always eager to take responsibility. you end up making friends for lifetime.
products and technology is latest and management gives you lot of opportunity to try new stuff rather than just following some static path. you can suggest new ways of doing things and are all heard with open mind

    Cons

no communication, may be lacking vision or confused as to that they want.
average increments and not even half of the bonus what is mentioned on letter ever paid.
all the processes are confused right from hr to It, its all haphazard..

I worked at Nexant full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

If you are clear about the type of work you seek and want to surround yourself with highly skilled colleagues, this could work for you.......

    Cons

The sum of the parts isn't necessarily greater than the whole with poor communication from the top getting in the way of higher performance overall

    Advice to Management

With a communication style bordering on secretive, you really can't expect smart employees to always do the right thing. Micro-management is no substitute.
Get yourselves a new Board of Directors who will support the CEO adequately.

    Cons

Company doesn't have clear directions. Management doesn't have good vision what should be done for company to succeed. They want to sell it and sell it quickly

    Advice to Management

Decide what you want to do. Find a direction and stick to the plan. Be more transparent and stop this secrecy which is just destructive and creates rumors and unhealthy atmosphere.

    Cons

Chandler, AZ Processing Dept. was managed by the Salt Lake City, UT call center, it worked better before they took over. Required to keep a KPI log sheet for every project we processed which slows down processing...

    Advice to Management

The processing managers should be located Chandler, AZ not SLC, UT.

    Pros

They have a great business model. Hire a great rolodex and let them sell. They have a vision and some interesting products. Projects depend on whether their winning the RFP war.

    Cons

No transparency, no communication, no leadership from the top, CEO, CTO, or board members. CTO has his group of favorites and if you're not an insider, you get nothing. No raises, no bonuses, no appreciation. This could be a great company. Unfortunately, it appears they'll be nothing more than a mediocre player.

    Advice to Management

Talk to your employees. Get rid of the good old boy network.
