    Pros

    - Great people in every department, caring managers
    - Very exciting new product technology
    - Departments are supportive of each other, good collaboration
    - Free snacks & drinks
    - Work/Life balance

    Cons

    - Constantly changing processes
    - Conflicting goals vary from quarter to quarter, so projects you worked hard on get scrapped
    - Not enough resources for good employees to do their jobs to full potential
    - IT is stretched too thin so there was lots of email issues and internet outages (not their fault)
    - Layoffs and slashed budgets so everyone constantly scrambles to stay ahead of workloads
    - Absolutely ZERO corporate culture or identity. Office is bland and still has most of the decor and signage from the previous company in the building.

    Advice to Management

Once the restructure is done focus on building a strong company identity and morale with the leftover employees. This would involve having a company name sign in the office lobby to start. Invest in tools and processes to make talented employees' jobs easier so they don't have to focus on band-aid methods to get their tasks completed.

I have been working at Nexsan Technologies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

My visibility in the organization and worked very well with teams outside of the operations organization.

    Cons

Relocating the facility and the downsize of many losing their jobs

    Advice to Management

My current position is relocating and I'm looking for a new career opportunity.

I worked at Nexsan Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great customers
    Good product
    Decent name in enterprise
Unless you truly mess up, you'll rarely hear from management

    Cons

    Poor stock buy

    Obsessed with "share holder value"

You are reminded that people get ahead according to "who likes you"

    Bad morale

Truly incompetent management: self-absorbed, short-sighted, stupid, love hierachy

Terrible communicators and an ineffective "HR" as well

    Advice to Management

Go through some self-analysis, go out and find truly superior managers: hire them as replacements for yourselves

    Pros

Company only worries about shareholders, not employees.

I worked at Nexsan Technologies full-time

    Pros

Fantastic, small marketing team that collaborated well to produce quality leads, PR, events, campaigns and recruit new partners. Marketing leadership was strong and effective.

    Cons

When the company was bought by Imation, the marketing team was revamped based on location not by performance or productivity.

    Advice to Management

It takes all departments running well together and collaborating in order to be successful. Empower the marketing leaders to hire based on expertise not by location.
