    Pros

Sales people have a lot of time to themselves.
    Pretty Good benefits

    Cons

Company Owner is a tyrant. Management by terror. Every employee bulletin that comes out includes words "failure to comply may cause job forfeiture". Brutal working hours.

    Advice to Management

Have some faith in your employees.

    Pros

Good pay good hours benefits training so so but provided corporate office location assessable

    Cons

Immaturity in management of call center other staff members are rude no commodity in team does not welcome new employees that are not family members are known to other employees nepotism is rabbit does not welcome quick learners are those that show initiative on their own floor staff not helpful product wastes OnStaff HR unaware of employees recording in and out time and record-keeping no bonus payment

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to clocking in and clocking out on time allow camaraderie and be aware of employees hiring family and friends and not welcoming new ideas and other employees take into account new employees complaints control gossip as much as possible pay attention compliments given by clients revisit former employees that were adequate at their job

    Pros

Great company who supports and trains current employees to make sure they are comfortable in position. Leader in the industry and very reputable company and product.

    Cons

Work on weekends its retail so that is expected. Schedule was not consistent some days you would get off Tuesday and Thursday. The next week you would get off Wednesday and Friday.

    Advice to Management

    Try to keep consistent schedule.

    Pros

can make money if sales are not taken from you

    Cons

travel to different stores all the time so you can't develop customer relationships, you don't get your sales the manager of the store you went to takes it from you. The store that you are working from the manager takes your sales all the time. You do all all the work and the managers read, take care of personal things, do projects, sleep, watch stuff on their phones. You dont have HR if you ask for help they said talk to your dm. Your Dm acts like they listen but they turn a blind eye.

    Advice to Management

all employees matter not only the ones that complain or kiss your hand, ethical behavior is a big problem you should pay closer attention to your stores.

I have been working at Next Day Blinds full-time

    Pros

Flexibility with work hours, not a desk job, company car if you work as a Shop At Home Decorator, reimbursed expenses, 401K, health insurance.

    Cons

No sick pay, only get 10 PTO days, have to purchase a supplemental insurance for long and short term leave which includes maternity leave, be prepared to work long hours and even work some on your days off, must work at least one day on the weekend, must work on federal holidays (the only days the company doesn't require you to work are New Years Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. No paid holidays, must work on Labor Day and Memorial Day weekends (it's a retail business, so must work retail days), can be a very high stress job dealing with unhappy customers. No Christmas bonuses, no opportunities for advancement or salary increase (unless you work more days). Have to go into homes of all types which will include: dirty, dusty, hot, messy, under construction, etc.

    Advice to Management

A Christmas bonus would be nice as would sick pay.

I worked at Next Day Blinds full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You work alone or with one other person most of the time and are your own boss as long as you don't do something completely stupid. You can always call other stores for advice or tips. Good income for very little labor. You don't have to merchandise or stock the store.

    Cons

Income is not as much as they promise you though it is not a lot less. It is sales so it all depends who come in the store and how good you are at sales. There are many hours with nothing going on so find a way to amuse yourself with out internet access. How your income works is VERY complicated and is almost impossible to truly figure out though I never though I was cheated but really no way to know for sure.

    Advice to Management

More training about the customer experience in the beginning would be helpful ie what do they experience once they order and leave the store. A ride along of some type would have provided some great info. Get rid of the Corp. Training day!!!

I have been working at Next Day Blinds full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Company consistently provided 15 - 25 quality leads per week with the option for additional leads during the holiday season. Products, delivery and installation service was excellent and the company's spotless reputation proceeds itself.

    Cons

A private family run company so, what the owner wants you have to do it. That being said, compared to other family run companies, owner is reasonable and management is excellent.
