I have been working at Next Step Living full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Young company with many outgoing younger people. The product is high quality and often at no cost to clients. People genuinely care about what they are doing for clients and the environment.

    Cons

Seems to be some issues with payroll accounting due to recent restructuring. Some customers express dissatisfaction with servicing but remain a very small percentage

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Next Step Living part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Despite some potentially negative things, the job is overall good but it is NOT designed for a part-time worker. I initially started as a part-time worker and the compensation was very good for a student.

    Cons

The upper management can struggle at times in divulging their own motives. They seem to struggle with vision and the meteoric rise has caused standards to fluctuate.

    "Good part-time job"

    • Compensation and Benefits
Current Employee - Outreach Event Representative

I have been working at Next Step Living part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The hours are flexible, but one weekend day is required for field staff. Very good if you are a student or are working another flexible job. Recently increased the backstop so it's a more liveable wage. Ability to move up through the company especially if you live in MA.

    Cons

High turnover in outreach, lots of constant changes with products (directly impacting your job and what you can make commission on), lack of transparency on commission (though this has recently improved some), lots of external factors impacting your pay that you can do nothing about.

    Advice to Management

Continue with efforts to be more transparent and create better reports for commission-based positions. Continue the recognition of employees from direct managers.

    Pros

Very friendly staff. Everyone is excited about seeing the company grow, at least from my experience.

    Cons

Very disorganized. Not always clear what the company goal was, and often unclear exactly what was expected of you.
