I worked at NextCare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The physicians and providers are good providers. They are dedicated to their patients and to providing good care. The staff are good and desire to do well.

    Cons

Run by numbers and operations that do not listen to the physician and providers. Operations have more control than the physicians and providers or medical directors. This is a backward approach to health care.

    Pros

    Getting to work with patients
    Only work every other weekend
    Learn new skills

    Cons

    Not employee friendly
    Poor, rude, and incompetent management
    No room for career advancement

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees and not just making money. Working in the medical field you should be able to take off work when you are sick but they don't care.

I worked at NextCare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule. That's all I can remember that could be considered a pro. The staff sometimes were helpful too too

    Cons

No chance for promotion, punished for pregnancy BC no EIL benefit offered , insurance almost unattainable because of low pay

    Advice to Management

Need to think less of their pocket books and more of the people that work for the company. A normal life is made difficult to get working for this company as a single mother

    Pros

Typical Corporate environment. Looking back they really have it together and processes in place. At a local level though still lots of wriggle room. I was fortunate to have a great manager.

    Cons

Typical corporate environment, it works both ways. Providers have all the pull. "Managers are easier to replace than providers"

    Advice to Management

Kudos for how things are organized and general operations.

I worked at NextCare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

12 hour shifts with ability to have some control over your schedule. Pay was average.

    Cons

Providers managed by non-medical corporation. Working with nursing staff. On many days I only had an Rad Tech that only gave injections and she complained because she was not a nurse. Clinic out of basic supplies most of the time. Expected to give the patients what they want, not what they need in order for the company to get high patient ratings.

    Advice to Management

None. They are not interested in advice from any employee.

I worked at NextCare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Took over operations for PrimaCare in Dallas. Kept same salary, but not benefits. I liked EMR. All doctors and staff were great to work with.

    Cons

Too much management interfering with day to day operations with many pointless meetings and changing protocols for no reason.
