I have been working at NextEra Energy, Inc. full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Not many left to mention.

    Cons

Staffing cuts every year like clockwork. They constantly ask you to explain how you add value to the company, which gets real old and not to mention insulting. The HR dept. is incompetent and unhelpful.

    Advice to Management

Remember that success works from the bottom up, not from the top down.

I worked at NextEra Energy, Inc. full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The company is very consistent, and attempts to hire quality employees. They also give a fair amount of trust in non degreed operators to take on projects and follow thru to completion

    Cons

There is no flexibility in performing your job. Although there are facilities around the country, everything is run from Florida without the ability to adjust to local conditions. Expectations vs. pay are severely lopsided.

I have been working at NextEra Energy, Inc. full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Five word minimum goes here.

    Cons

The higher ups have anger management issues. They’ll berate you in public with no warning. Departments are run like a little mafias - only a select few employees are safe and everyone else is dispensable. Save yourself the trouble. Everyone leaves here after 2-3 years. You can’t put up with the BS politics more than that.
