I worked at NextG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A job in wireless in the bay area

    Cons

The founder of the company made this place a depressing place to work at. The telecom/wireless industry is pretty mediocre as far as a career but this place definitely takes the bait as far treating your employees like they were trash. Ran with an ironfist that execs and managers walked out on him after an important decision made by top level execs. Pay was low and there were no bonuses or raises for most workerbee employees. Contractors were always led the to believe that they would become employees even after their contract time was up. They lied about stock options for regular people also, the founder kept it all to himself and his cronies.

I worked at NextG as a contractor (More than 5 years)

    Pros

If you really need a job in wireless in the bay area

    Cons

The founder of the company didn't care about his people. It was all about making the company good enough to sell. Stay away if you want a company with morale and employee productivity

    Advice to Management

When you do performance reviews for 2010 and your employees score well, you should still reward them even though they will be laid off in 2011. No need to lie that bonuses and stock options are for directors only.
