I have been working at NextGen Information Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay. Benefits are high quality but very expensive.

    Cons

There isn't a lot of interaction with the company once you are with a client.

    Advice to Management

Take the time to continue to know your employees. I've asked several times to meet with NextGen staff and it never happens.

I worked at NextGen Information Services (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Started off on a great note. Good people to work with - but they all left.
Had some good perks for high achievers which were all gradually taken away.

    Cons

Bad management- they are only bothered about lining their pockets. No employee engagement at all. Apathetic. Cost of benefits was too high, base is very low and inconsistent.
Reeks of favoritism. Employees were dispensable.

    Advice to Management

Be a bit more appreciative of employees. Appoint the right Managers and lead by example.

I have been working at NextGen Information Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This company has employees that really care about their consultants. They pay great, communicate and are very supportive of us in the field. I've also observed that NextGen has a great reputation at its client sites. They don't make a bad name for themselves by "just placing people," and this pays off. Loving it so far.

    Cons

Insurance *can* be expensive but that's been true many places. NextGen offsets this with a great pay rate. I don't know that there's a "culture," but frankly, being tasked with participating in a big culture while working at a client site would be hard. I think NextGen focuses on its core business and that is great for me.

    Advice to Management

    Don't change!

I have been working at NextGen Information Services full-time

    Pros

The same week I returned from working overseas, Helen and Steve helped me get my dream job. They reviewed my resume and matched me with one of their clients. They prepared me for the interview. I am now working my dream job. It is a prayer come true.

Helen and Steve work well together. They know their clients and what their clients are looking for. They made the appropriate coordination and quickly prepared me for the interview.

    Cons

The job is not full-time yet.... but it is still a dream job.

I have been working at NextGen Information Services full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Management has good rapport with Client representatives. They are willing to listen to consultant inputs. They acknowledge and appreciate feedback and willing to institute changes. Have excellent mentoring and support program which helps new consultants ease into new roles with the client. The Project Director maintains a balanced and excellent relation with Consultant and Client.

    Cons

In my 8 years consulting with the company I do not recollect of any significant cons. I may have a gripe about the frequent changes in Payroll and Benefits administration providers to cut costs.

    Advice to Management

Please continue to appreciate the Consultants who are out in the field, and make every effort to keep the administration, pay and benefits process smooth as possible

I have been working at NextGen Information Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have never in the history of my career worked for a company that I truly enjoy coming to daily. People are like a family. We all work to of course...to get paid, but we all enjoy spending the mandatory time together. Everyone is fair. There is excellent mentoring from our Vice President down to the Sourcing Team. NextGen is growing and evolving into a powerhouse that I am proud to be apart of!

    Cons

The owners have checked out at this point. They are enjoying all of the profit we are bringing them! Not a bad thing, but if they were involved in more community organizations for networking it could help the business.

    Advice to Management

Be a representative of your company.

"As a contract position I was unimpressed with NextGen. They were more interested in supporting the client then employee."

    Pros

The do offer long term contracts which was more desirable than the usual three to six month range. The analyst hourly salary was a bit low but not below scale.

    Cons

It was obvious that the staffing agency were not interested in supporting the employees when it came time for yearly reviews or discussing pay raises. It was explained the "it was never done" even though the term of the contract was for two years.
