I have been working at Niagara Bottling full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

This environment is great if you are self-driven, motivated and willing to put in the extra time to make the position your own. As a fast-growing company, many of the job needs are developed on the fly. Most decisions have a direct impact to the overall bottom line and it is easy to see how you are influencing business decisions. Work-life balance is good. Management is willing to work with you when personal... problems arise or there is a need to take time off. Managers have unlimited vacation. Benefits have been average, but are getting better. CEO is fantastic, motivating and continues to lead the company in the right direction.

    Cons

The recent growth has lead to some issues hiring the right people and it is negatively impacting the culture. Newcomers seem to be too set on specific job descriptions and create unnecessary roadblocks for others. It slows down the pace that has made Niagara so successful. It is still early enough to recover from this, but management needs to see it and step in.

    Advice to Management

Hire right, don't just hire quickly. We need the right people who are going to continue to keep us nimble and come in with the entrepreneurial spirit that has made Niagara so successful.

I have been working at Niagara Bottling full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - The ability to rotate through different departments to figure out what youre passionate about. - A lot of team bonding events - A great amount of age, race, and gender representation - An abundance of growth opportunities - No micromanaging. You hit the ground running - Super friendly people - Brand new headquarters - Ability to work from home on Fridays (subject to approval by your supervisor) - Flexible... work hours - Great place to jump-start your career - Abundance of projects and cross-departmental collaboration

    Cons

    - The program is only available to recent graduates - Some PDP's believe the work-life balance could use some improvements - While this is not necessarily a con, if you aren't someone who can handle a fast-paced and ever-changing company, this place may not be for you. Very much a sink or swim environment (but in the best way, teaches you to really push yourself)

    Advice to Management

    - Some managers in the supply chain department need to understand that weekends are not for work. Do not expect your employees to be by their work computers at 2 PM on a Saturday.

    Pros

PDP allows you to experience many different aspects and departments of the business. The monthly meetings and group work is helpful in establishing connections. Those outgoing and looking for experience in many areas will succeed. The company is youthful and growing fast.

    Cons

There are many growing pains because of the company expansion. Parking, conference rooms, and amenities (free food/provided Niagara drinks) run out fast and it can feel competitive trying to get to work. Many departments expect long hours of their employees. Some PDPs even have to be on their computers and working during the weekend. Not always the best work/life balance. Many new employees are thrown into the thick... of work because the staff is spread thin, which can be stressful. Benefits are not competitive and lacking. There is a good amount of turnover because of the work output expected of employees

    Advice to Management

Improve benefits and PTO. Support employees through incentives and check in on employees to ensure they are feeling supported.

I worked at Niagara Bottling full-time for more than a year

    Pros

friendly people (not management), and supportive and great team work (not management).

    Cons

benefits are terrible...........worse than Walmart. pay is low and manipulated by management. they do not pay competitively, they do not care unless you are directly involved with the core of production. use overtime to calculate total annual earnings like its a gift. no shift differential or any incentive to work graveyard. no work/life balance. the c-sweat is a fraternity, and little is cared other than... copying and pasting what Mr. P built.

    Advice to Management

simple logic for management. if you build up those you deem unimportant, then they can easily replace those who leave in critical roles. trust your HR team who know what they are doing. get someone who knows HR to lead them, not a frat boy, not a lawyer, someone who knows how to utilize the mass amount of data you have to the companies advantage.

I worked at Niagara Bottling full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great company culture, lots of chances to grow as it's fast growing company. All employees are given chance to show their skill. Getting touch base with higher management is easy

    Cons

Lots of travel depending on which department you are working. Very fast paced environment with average work life balance. Salary is industry average. Increments are very low. Health insurance costly if you have a family. 401K match average, could be better.

    Advice to Management

Need to reduce travel by setting up remote teams. Need to increase overall salary and benefits. Need to focus on retention policy. Lots of turnover.

I worked at Niagara Bottling full-time

    Pros

The work itself can be fulfilling at times. You'll meet some great people.

    Cons

The manager micro-manages and treats their employees with no respect whatsoever. Workplace harassment and bullying as though we were not adults. High school culture. Only way to really succeed is by throwing team mates under the bus consistently instead of finding a solution as a whole. Absolutely no work/life balance. Yes you have more time off but you will spend your days off obsessed with you emails and hoping... that you will not be attacked via email for something that had nothing to do with you. You will spend your days off just recovering from the mental and psychological stress that this place puts on you. Work loads are unrealistic for just 1 employee. High turn over and an unrealistic 10 point system where you will be fired as soon as you reach 10. 1.5 for a missing day and half a point for being late. It doesn't matter if someone in your family died or your late through no fault of your own. Points still stand for those unforeseen circumstances. Points don't fall off till after a year of the date when you got said point. Easy to be fired. Lots of favoritism. If you are not a yes man or on your managers favorites list you will not advance. I've had nothing but a negative experience here at Niagara. Manager does not listen. Does what he wants with an authoritarian attitude.

    Advice to Management

Please keep a close eye on management. They operate in silence mistreating employees and probably causing the company money due to high turnover. You will continuously lose a lot of good, hard-working people that could have rose through the ranks were it not for a bad manager creating a bad workplace culture.

I have been working at Niagara Bottling full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great team atmosphere! There is always room for growth and development. Niagara is very flexible and honors a strong work-life balance. We have amazing team building opportunities to take time away from the desk to get to know our Niagara family. I enjoy coming to work and being around these people who have wonderful lives and stories.

    Cons

You are expected to work very hard, but you are also rewarded very well. There are always multiple things going on at once so it can be stressful to balance and not feel pulled in different directions. At times you are handed something or given a project with minimal training and that can sometimes add pressure. With that though comes all the experience and opportunity to grow and become more well rounded in your... field.

    Pros

They will hire you even if you don't have any experience as they are always hiring due to constant departure of analysts from the company. They do sponsor work permits for international students

    Cons

No work life balance, just forget about it, plants operate 24/7 so expect to be on call 24/7 Planning department leadership lacks experience and management skills, if you can survive 2+ year here ,you can also become a manager as by then all of your co-workers would be left and you will be the senior most team member. No training or structure, department is always in firefighting mode.. Join if you have no... other option
