    Pros

Niagara prides itself on putting the safety of its employees first and foremost. The upper management makes themselves available for anyone, even if just to chat.

    Cons

Job can be stressful. Schedules can change from one hour to the next. Sometimes hard to balance work and life due to a lot of available overtime.

    Pros

Good Pay Good Benefits The Two Days On/Two Days Off and Sometimes Two Days on Three Days Off Allows for a Healthy Work/Life Balance.

    Cons

During my tenure there was a high turnover rate of team members along with managerial and supervisory positions. I feel the company could've done better with the use of resources from their vast number of partner facilities to help with the transition.

Fast paced, educational, environmentally friendly, family friendly and rewarding.

Apr 19, 2015 - Technical Engineering Manager in Ontario, CA

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Niagara provides the needed support to help you succeed in whatever role you decide to take-on through management coaching or Niagara U to name a few. The company also invest heavily in reducing its environmental footprint where it matters most and will have the biggest impact, in this case the container and its packaging. The managers also take special care to balance work and family life as this has been my experience for the past 11 months. Although I have had some bad experiences, the number of good rewarding experiences after having completed my objectives far outweighs the negative. In short, Niagara is good company with much to offer for those who can act on it.

    Cons

Although Niagara does a good job of reducing its environmental footprint by light-weighting and reducing packaging it does not do well of educating the public on how it can help or be part of the recycling effort. We should make them feel, the customer, as part of our team so our product remains solid going into the future.

    Pros

Excellent company culture (family owned). Does not have the same bureucracy as other large companies. Company is growing like a weed. Company gives back to the plants to those that operate safely and efficiently Plants work extremely well together to help each other out with parts, expertise, manpower.

    Cons

Seasonal volume business so seasonally the hours are sometimes excessive so work life balance suffers.

It's a hot mess you NEED to stay away from!!

    Nov 13, 2014 -

    Business Outlook

    Pros

You get to work on a diverse number of projects. It'll work for a temporary job.

    Cons

Extremely low pay for the number of things you do. There are no set policies in place. Tasks even policies change on a day to day basis. Management is the higher paid and better recognized when the little guy is the one carrying all the heavy weight. Standard e learning that no one has the time to complete because you are always extremely busy. Not a solid training program you just get thrown into the job. Always have and even today you will. No work/life balance whatsoever!

Employee Story
We’re proud to support Team Members in their unique path to parenthood and are overjoyed that our benefits partner, Progyny, helped grow the extended Niagara Family by 21 children. Kayla shares her story, “Having to go through this isn’t in anyone’s plan, it’s not what you hope or dream about, but life will take you down paths you never imagined for yourself. If this is your path, just know you can do this. I am beyond grateful for my outcome. Our daughter is now 16 months old and she is the absolute light of our lives. She has brought more joy to us than I could ever imagine.”
