Heavy workload but compensation reflected the loaf

    Advice to Management

I worked at Nightingale Home Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You work alone in an office. It’s okay sometimes, but it does get boring. Phones don’t ring that much. Not too much traffic coming through the office at all.

    Cons

There is no real training. All training is done over the phone or via Skype since corporate is in Indiana. They monitor everything you do. You even have to report when you’re going to the restroom. You feel like a child. All phone calls are recorded. They have a lot of really unrealistic expectations. The work load is heavy. Very unprofessional and intimidating CEO. Due to that, high turnover. CEO will let you go at any minute for anything (Literally) They never order supplies, you have to ask everyday and it still doesn’t get done. Housekeepers come once a week to empty trash, so office can become smelly. Office also had an infestation problem. There are pest control things all through each room. There is no support at all for office workers or nursing staff. They don’t have a director of nursing, so there is no one to ask about clinical stuff. No direct deposit offered. Also have a hard time cashing checks on payday, checks seem to bounce or can’t process. Very suspicious company and not managed or ran well. Also, don’t pay you for all hours worked or mileage. I would not recommend working here. Keep looking elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Find a DON, treat employees respectfully, hire housekeepers, exterminate the building, write checks that won’t bounce and pay employees for their correct number of hours worked & start offering direct deposit.

I have been working at Nightingale Home Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I'm the Administrator for Texas locations and I absolutely enjoy patient care, growth, and autonomy. Some of these reviews are baffling because our President prides on patient care first. I've taken care of patients and the computer system is relatively easy once you get used to doing it. The computer isn't based on Wifi so no freezing while you're in the middle of documenting. Wednesday paydays so we get to avoid Friday bank lines. President has great respect and appreciation for staff that do their job and take care of patients.

    Cons

Not all health insurance plans available are covered by company at 50% only 2 choice of plans pay 50%

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work

I worked at Nightingale Home Healthcare (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are absolutely no pros whatsoever with this company. I recommend everyone stay away from Nightingale. You don't motivate employees by threatening their jobs.

    Cons

They lie to you about replacing a previous marketing person. I was lead to believe I would be picking up some existing referral sources to maintain as well as develop new business in the same territory. After I was hired, I was told to strictly go out and develop new business from areas they had never marketed to before. I was threatened with losing my job starting on day 6.

    Advice to Management

You have no business being in business. If you really do treat your patients as badly as your employees you should all be in prison

I worked at Nightingale Home Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice clients, training on Life-size, a bucket of supplies are limited, you will see the manager when supplies are used, be nice, so you get paid

    Cons

Never paid for miles and tolls, third party fraud so you won't get paid, similar scam at epic, be aware that expenses for your vehicle are on your head

    Nightingale Home Healthcare Response

    Oct 5, 2016 – CEO

We are sorry to see that an employee has to feel this way. We do offer company vehicles for staff who are travelling a lot. I am not able to respond to 'third part' or 'epic' because that has nothing... More
