    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Nip Group full-time

    Pros

great place to start right out of college, good place to learn the industry, summer fridays.

    Cons

micromanagement, low salary for a lot of job responsibility

    Advice to Management

management would be best to invest more in their people and work to bring in more employees overall as many of the current employees get stretched in all directions when it comes to job responsibilities.

I worked at Nip Group full-time

    Pros

Despite certain issues within the company, the marketing department was a strong and positive team, led by a fearless CMO. The leadership provided sound guidance and opportunities in an effort to help each person of the team succeed and grow in their roles.

    Cons

The company doesn't fully appreciate the impact marketing can have, which they could only stand to benefit from.

I have been working at Nip Group full-time

    Pros

A lot of nice people work there.

    Cons

Micromanagement at its finest. Worst paying company you'll ever work at. Everyone is over worked and GROSSLY underpaid. More turnover than you'll ever see at any other job (for good reasoning)

    Advice to Management

Stop being cheap and pay your employees. If it wasn't for all the people making 30-40k a year this company wouldn't be here. Don't have employee meetings saying how much the company makes while everyone makes pennies. STOP MICROMANAGING !

I have been working at Nip Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Outside of upper management, most of the staff are quite pleasant to be around.

    Cons

Morale is typically always at a low. Training is virtually non-existent - usually due to teams being understaffed and buried with work. Upper management focuses on micro-management rather than making the changes necessary to operate efficiently. It's not uncommon to see senior executives walking around the office to see who is at their desk and who is not at work. Employees are constantly promised pay increases and promotions but management never makes good on them. Moving up is extremely difficult and you can pretty much forget about switching departments. It's also very disheartening seeing how other departments have privileges your's doesn’t.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating your employees like children and dictating their every action. Stop promising opportunity and never holding up your end of the deal. Take the time to train your employees. Most of all, don't throw your staff under the bus to save your skin.

    Pros

Great work environment. Team always willing to help each other out. Summer hours - Fridays 8-2.

    Cons

Seems to be a big gap in salary between executives and associates.

  8. "Look Elsewhere if you're looking for a career."

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Decent place to get some experience if you're looking for an entry-level position or are fresh out of school.

    Cons

Low morale and high stress in the workplace is causing a good chunk of the workforce to look elsewhere which is a direct consequence of micromanaging, low pay and expecting maximum output, and broken promises. Doesn't seem to be much career advancement although "career paths" has recently been proposed.

    Advice to Management

You should respect and invest in your employees. Without them, everything falls apart. There's a reason why turnover is high. Having training guidelines would also be a huge plus. Clear communication from management would also be a huge benefit.

I worked at Nip Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Laid back environment, good teamwork atmosphere, good company to start your career, good coworkers.

    Cons

Not enough PTO per year. Rare advancement opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate the management for being kind and laid back, but one can sense micromanagement from time to time, which can easily be fixed.

    Pros

Friendly peers only! Unfortunately thats about the only pro there is.

    Cons

this company is a joke. completely unprofessional! you will not be treated with respect unless you're management. blue collar mentality from all presidents whether it be programs, finance or IT. everything coming from presidents is marked urgent and you need to drop your previous (urgent) work and work on this one and if not completed it will be counted against your performance. for a small company like this, this company has probably the highest turnover!! everybody but the presidents of different depts have left the company! all good people leave the place, people who can't take it anymore just leave the slavery! no room for growth as it will be the only position in the dept so where are you going to go next huh ? Augustyn is maybe happy with his executives because all they do is sit in meetings all day and the remaining little time they have is spy on their subordinates and watch the clock! the more you act like a chicken without wings and concentrate on face time the longer you maybe able to last ... but your days are still numbered in this company unless as mentioned before you are management!!

    Advice to Management

revamp the management ! hire more people ! this place severely needs more people to work!
