Middle layer is good but they can not do anything.

I have been working at Nisum full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good senior leadership. The company appears to have decent leadership at the top that mean well and try to do the right thing. Unlike other Indian companies, they try to get feedback about what's working and not.

    Cons

Third-rate appraisal and resource management practices. There's a thick layer of incompetence accumulated in middle management due to years of promotions based on loyalty and tenure rather than skill and competency. Resource managers are basically glorified paper pushers. They don't add any value to a direct-report's growth or ambition. All of the good intention up top is compromised by these mid-level guys holding the company back.

    Advice to Management

Continue practices like CEO Chat and extend it so that CEO and other senior leaders can hear from across the company and not just from middle managers.
