I worked at Nms Healthcare (More than a year)

    Pros

Good buildings , good infrastructure, decent pay!

    Cons

    Worst company ever!!
they just care about the $$$ , treat employees as factory workers and patients as money making machine. higher authorities pressurize management who in turn pressurize the employees to perform unethical and illegal billing. Force patients / staff to keep Medicare A patients for 100 days , and kick them out on 101st day if unable to pay bills/ Med B ineligible. This is just tip of the iceberg!! hundreds of unspeakable things done to patients and staff. This company makes you loose faith in the medical systems of America.

I worked at Nms Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The only thing that will get you through your shift is your coworkers! You need a strong support system to help with high census, everyday call outs and no show-no calls, and the mess left over from the previous shift.

    Cons

Management that won't listen to patient and staff needs, being so short of staff that it's ILLEGAL, being thrown into some situations and not be able to do anything about it

    Advice to Management

Put yourself in the clients shoes...always.

I have been working at Nms Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The face of management "looks" inviting... food is good.
I don't feel like they have a bad staff but very poor unorganized management. Not a team at all. Their rule of everyone answer the call light is b.s management walks pass all the time 😒

    Cons

Everything. The lack of care for patients, bed sores, unchanged patients, bed baths not given periodically, UNDERPAID & UNDERSTAFFED GNAS, employees with vacation time not allowed to take it, dysfunctional, no organization, 1:20 ratio for GNAS, patients addicted to pain medication patients being disruptive and disrespectful without any write ups, not charting patient information! A MESS!

    Advice to Management

    Specially referring to Annapolis location

    Pros

The environment is so bad that it forces you to become close with your co-workers because they are the only thing saving you from a panic-attack. Having the Dr. in house is convenient.

    Cons

NARCs are not secure. Lacking supplies in a big way. The nurse to patient ratio is VERY high. The is little to no support when you have a problem. There is very little leadership. The DON is a micromanager. VERY UNDERSTAFFED. One 2nd shift there were 2 aides for 98 patients.

    Advice to Management

Pay people what they are worth you can stff your building.
