I worked at Noble Energy full-time

    Pros

Smaller company allowed development of a variety of skills. Exciting work, good activity, good environment. There was a clear impact that your work had on the project.

    Cons

Location of office at the time was in Greenspoint, which was dangerous. There was a murder at the gas station outside my window in the middle of the day while I was employed at Noble.

    Advice to Management

It's been several years since I worked there and a lot has changed in the industry, so any advice I have would be very out of date. I guess it is good that the office moved away from Greenspoint.

I have been working at Noble Energy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The work/life balance is top notch. The pay seems to be higher than other area competitors.

    Cons

The market conditions seem to have Noble in a complete limbo. You don't really know how to feel day to day, because some days you're just not sure how long your job will be there. Benefits are mediocre. There's definitely a good bit of cronyism, but I think that is pretty typical for the industry. Management often rolls out surveys regarding feelings on performance, but doesn't seem to react to the results. Performance reviews are a joke as no one seems to review those, either.

    Advice to Management

Please come with a clear message on your plans moving forward. The constant ups and downs do not make people comfortable in their jobs. Listen to your employees! There are a lot of good ones here.

I worked at Noble Energy as an intern

    Pros

I had a great summer internship experience at Noble. Ultimately I believe that I was not hired due to the decline in oil/gas prices, but I learned a lot and there are some great people that I worked with that were very friendly and helpful. Modern facilities and good pay. I learned a great amount and got to go on a cool trip to a drilling rig in person. Many social events.

    Cons

I think that the company is definitely catered to favoring people more in certain departments. The department that I was in seemed to not be as popular or have the financial resources some of the others did.

I worked at Noble Energy (More than a year)

    Pros

Made efforts to keep employees interested in their work despite tough times in the Oil &Gas industry.

    Professional environment.

    Cons

Not necessarily open to allow contractors to venture outside of their assigned task. Even if it meant saving money or improving processes.

    Advice to Management

Keep the contractors up to date on business. Most care an awful lot on about Noble and where it is headed.

I worked at Noble Energy (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company. Took great care of their employees. I would go back to work for them in a minute.

    Cons

Getting laid off was a political decision, which was unfortunate. However, this happens in every company and should not be a reason not to consider working for Noble.
