    Pros

Pay is fine. Benefits are standard for a large company although not necessarily evenly distributed . 9/80 schedule is always nice.

    Cons

Company has lost its way since new CEO has taken over. Really a shadow of its former self. Lloyd Noble would not be happy.

    Advice to Management

CEO and his lieutenants need to move on before company is gone.

I have been working at Noble Energy full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very nice people work there. I really like 90%+ of my coworkers.

    Cons

Management seems to lack direction; they allow people to stay in positions long after they have proven inability.

    Advice to Management

Take a hard look about how you make decisions. Also look at who you promote and why you promote them.

I have been working at Noble Energy as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Active, friendly company that encourages everyone to be challenged to their fullest potential.

    Cons

In an internship with this company, you might find yourself pinholed in a project that doesn't really add value to the company and doesn't reflect well on you.

I have been working at Noble Energy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Smaller company that allows you opportunities to develop

    Cons

Lack of leadership involvement. To many Egos and Chiefs that believe they no the secrets to life.

    Advice to Management

Conduct a organizational review and make sure leaders are listening to field level personnel on what they need. Find a way to align on what type of company and how we want to operate globally. And stop talking about cultural development when all you want is to reduce cost and stay just compliant. You can fluff all you want to the outside world, but your field level leadership knows what's valued...

I have been working at Noble Energy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    there's a gym and a cafeteria.

    Cons

Management doesn't listen. Machines break and no one fixes them. Management routinely asks you to do things that are above your pay grade - ie engineering when you are not an engineer.

    Advice to Management

Actually follow through with promises, and listen to your employees. I've been told now 6 times that I'm going to move into a different dept, and still I'm doing the same exact thing.

I have been working at Noble Energy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The work/life balance is top notch. The pay seems to be higher than other area competitors.

    Cons

The market conditions seem to have Noble in a complete limbo. You don't really know how to feel day to day, because some days you're just not sure how long your job will be there. Benefits are mediocre. There's definitely a good bit of cronyism, but I think that is pretty typical for the industry. Management often rolls out surveys regarding feelings on performance, but doesn't seem to react to the results. Performance reviews are a joke as no one seems to review those, either.

    Advice to Management

Please come with a clear message on your plans moving forward. The constant ups and downs do not make people comfortable in their jobs. Listen to your employees! There are a lot of good ones here.

    Advice to Management

Keep motivating and communicating with the workforce during these tough times.
