    Unprofessional

    Oct 6, 2016 -  in Canonsburg, PA

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Salaries in line with industry. Nice building and surroundings.

    Cons

Upper management will lie to your face. Mid-management plays the ole boys club game - golf, fantasy football, dinners with upper management - but won't show up for things like company sponsored charitable events, or take part in the team building events needed to familiarize staff with other departments (unless it is simply to get the alcohol).

    Exploration Dept

Jul 26, 2016 - Applications Specialist in Houston, TX
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Has been forced to become more competitive with other companies on salaries and benefits. Good flex time schedule. Provide workout facilities and good 401.

    Cons

You become more expendable after many years of success due to money. American citizens were cut while contract foreigners on sponsored visas were retained. Huge disconnect between upper management and regular employees. Company now driven mostly by profits instead of helping employees or local areas. Most employees are unaware of what upper management is doing - very secretive.

    Company changed for the worst

Mar 9, 2016 - Anonymous in Denver, CO
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Decent salary and benefits, especially if you participated in the Vitality program.

    Cons

Dysfunctional management. No career growth opportunity unless you are willing to kiss some butt. Layoffs got rid of so many talented people and left the company with a huge amount of L2 and L3's that don't know what they're doing. Noble was once a wonderful place to work, but during the prosperous years of $100+ oil upper management wasted time and money on GAP, MTG etc. instead of working on the company from within.

    Incompetent supervisors

Aug 6, 2015 - Division Order Analyst in Denver, CO
    Recommend

    Business Outlook

    Pros

great benefits, 4 hour fridays, 401k match.

    Cons

division order supervisors can't do the jobs of people under them. DO supervisors have favorites, accuse you of messing up before finding out all the facts, make mountains out of mole hills, pretty much incompetent. Upper management makes business decisions without thinking of full consequences of their actions. office is located on complete opposite side of downtown from union station.

    Company is a mess

    Pros

Gain great experience with the DJ Basin asset and the unique political environment of Colorado.

    Cons

Lack of clear direction from upper management. Overwork and underpay employees. Many of the talented and well respected employees are leaving Noble for better opportunities, even during the downturn. Many of my co-workers are very unhappy with their careers at Noble.
