    Pros

Opportunities to move up are there
If you are a self-starter that will help you
    good coworkers usually

    Cons

    Changing leadership every so often
    Not always managed the best
I was here during a time of transition - so it was to be expected some

    Advice to Management

Make sure you know what goes on day to day and listen to the employees

    Pros

Will pay for the right talent and allow the right talent to work autonomously for the most part under the umbrella of culture/vision as long as you are successful.

    Cons

Property to property I'd imagine there to be quite different challenges. Overall negative energy throughout property at all management levels and departments. Union associates were overall not bad, however, extremely difficult to keep bad apples from influencing the culture of your great employees. Corporate office is wishy-washy/waffles on ideas/feel week to week. The corporate values and vision is great, just wasn't present on our property.

    Advice to Management

Find a unique vision rather than finding inspiration in everything else you see and then copying. By the time you make the decision to copy, the trend has played itself out.

    Pros

Privately owned / they care for the people. New management really is making a positive impact and they offer great benefits packages and 401k

    Cons

Very seasonal / high volume from late December until April. Lots of outdoor working near the ocean. Lots of European guests in the summer

Very fun and lively professional atmosphere where the employees and management all seem to truly enjoy their work while providing great experiences to their guests. I was at the Mountain Lodge Telluride location.

    Cons

    Employee housing availability is scarce.

I have been working at Noble House Hotels & Resorts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is always on time , they never fall back. The location , Can't think of anything else .

    Cons

Hours are constantly cut and employees are milked to complete tasks. Very cheap hotel, Management is very uptight and they seem to be moving backwards rather than bettering themselves.

They rather hire new people than give you OT or give you a buck more.

They provide food for break but it's mostly leftovers from events they had or some slop.

Unrealistic expectations that will not be met due to the fact that everyone is tired of management stepping over their employees.

    Advice to Management

stop hiring new people and value the ones that have been loyal all this time even with all the inconveniences that new management had brought upon us.

we all know we're expendable ,and if you always make us feel that way then ,that's the same type of work you will receive.

    Pros

Location. I honestly have nothing good to say about the company. There is no parking for employees; they lie about benefits, mess up your pay.

    Cons

It is a degrading place to work. It is a revolving door of continual firings, one after another. You will be shown no respect.

    Advice to Management

    Fire human resources.

I worked at Noble House Hotels & Resorts full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    They paid reasonably well

    Cons

Felt they had a right to "monitor" and make choices regarding employees private lives both at work and when not at work, rather than produce documents that couldn't be located, my department was told to "recreate them to our best ability" rather than take ownership of them being missing.

    Advice to Management

There are many management, development, and ownership representative companies out there doing it correctly. Study these examples.

    Pros

Discounts at other hotels, I guess. There were a few nice people, but they got pushed out

    Cons

Horrible management starts at the very top of the company. Miscommunication and people on their high horses in the corporate office rolls down to management at the properties. Buddy-buddy system in the hotel management and backstabbing. Roll out of programs and systems is horrible and no oversight or accountability. Long work hours and inexperienced executives require even longer work hours. Other experienced executives in the industry know not work here and head fast for the hills when they realize how poor the management is and inexperienced their counterparts are
