    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Nomac Drilling full-time

    Pros

Great pay, Great benefits, good safety record. Good chance of moving up within the company.

    Cons

Onsite living conditions were horrible. No internet for the roughnecks. Depending on location you might not get cell service either.

    Advice to Management

Get the guys that give your company a good name out of cramped and worn down onsite trailers. 10 guys in one trailer is unacceptable.

    Advice to Management

Would like to see a clear define career path laid out. Improved annual reviews related to direction of company, department, and individual career placement and relevance of placement within teams, departments, regions, and company

I worked at Nomac Drilling (More than 5 years)

    Pros

great money, week off at a time.

    Cons

with all the money these oil companies make, you would think that they would find a place for their displaced workers rather than paying out unemployment. away from home. some people you work with are total dumb$#its.

    Advice to Management

be better to your employees, we make this company work.

    Pros

Great iron, safety conscious, good pay, never messed up my pay check.

    Cons

Good ole boy company, no room to move up, currently down sizing, no forward planning, working one day, then stacking the rig the next. Keep everyone in the dark

    Advice to Management

    Don't play favorites

I worked at Nomac Drilling (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good Benefits and a good place to gain entry into the oilfield. Chance to travel all over the US performing different duties. Training ground of the oilfield

    Cons

Management is always trying to reinvent the wheel and does not take the advice of lower level management even if they have more experience in a specific area of operations. Management has a tendency to lash out when things are not going perfect. Lots of turn over.

    Advice to Management

Instead of implementing programs and policies that are a detriment to the operations, listen to your operational experts as to why things are run a certain way.
