I worked at Norbreeze full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The colleagues are really the best. Friendly people, no politics, good culture. AWS

    Cons

Low pay, high turnover, little career progression, little salary increment. Hiring interns/part-timers/contract staff to replace permanent staff who left or sometimes there isn’t even replacement so the staffs who remained behind get more workload. Super expensive management.

I have been working at Norbreeze full-time

    Pros

-Good colleagues from every department who's willing to help you despite being overworked themselves - Location close to town so you can do some shopping for stress relief

    Cons

    - Unrealistic targets set by upper management, with no additional support or monetary incentivization. Common in most organizations but this one brings it to another level. - External marketing consultancy engagement which led to a drop in overall morale as she does not care about the company and team welfare. Realisation of this led to the removal of the consultant from day-to-day operation but subsequently reassigned to be a consultant of another major account(?). - Weekly sales meetings where employees are forced to justify every fall (MoM, YoY, monthly KPIs) with a corresponding follow up action. Micromanagement is verbally shunned, yet actively practiced.

    Pros

You can always count on mgmt's guidance at all times and I have learnt so much from them. Colleagues are treated with respect and work as a team towards common goals of the company. Great company to work in - look forward going in work every day!

    Cons

Would love to have the D&D back.

I have been working at Norbreeze full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The colleagues are the best. People here are generally nice, friendly and very helpful.

    Cons

This company changes your job scope as and when they like it and with little accountability - this can range from an overhaul of the entire dept (so the dept is left without a proper HOD, and reporting directly to a freelance consultant who has other clients too) and even to firing someone who received a decent appraisal just weeks before (with a “we don’t need to give you any reason, it’s within our right to do so”). Whenever someone resigns, they just dump the person’s workload unto existing employees. They always provide empty promises of new hires. They expect people to take on more work but without recognition, increments or promotions. Career progress at Norbreeze is not common. Management blames employees a lot, without reflecting on their own actions or attitude. With grossly inadequate HR retention policies, the company does not respect employees and treat them as disposable and replaceable tools. So many people from various departments have left Norbreeze towards the second half of the year, even with a guaranteed AWS. Good for them.

    I worked at Norbreeze full-time

    Pros

The only good thing about this company are the colleagues.

    Cons

If you have the belief of " LEADERS LEADS BY EXAMPLE" , then this is the last place you should join. They preach about being open and transparent but they fire people with no reason even though they were asked why. They restructure a whole team and hire a part time consultant to oversee the team. How is that suppose to benefit the company? Everyone is overworked and most are underpaid. Work get piled on (even though it's not part of employee's contract) but no adjustment to pay. Management is not good seeing who actually does good work. They compliment their favourites based on no facts or prove. Really regret joining this company and putting in so much work and effort. I have never seen such high turnover in a company. Especially towards end of the year even though AWS has been promised.

I have been working at Norbreeze full-time

    Pros

If you want to be better, this is not a place you can learn anything.

    Cons

These are some of the most calculative, petty and cheap bosses I have encountered. There is no empathy and they only want to squeeze every little bit out of you. Direction is lost. Management has no clue. Everyone is dying to leave. The bosses only think about how they can make more money and have never cared about the employees. They are calculative and they always expect something in return. They promote people randomly and always make extremely bad choices. Business is failing and the CEO nor the Management rarely has constructive advices or guidelines. There is an extreme toxic and blaming culture in the company. They are extremely cheap and always pretend to be nice. This company will not last.

I worked at Norbreeze full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    People were nice and friendly.

    Cons

The CFO has been asking for tons of reports, made changes to the company practice. Constantly asking for results and action plans without sharing how to do it. A financial person only talking about numbers and not working as a team.

I have been working at Norbreeze full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You will learn a lot. Do way more than your usual Job description. Pretty much a norm in most SME

    Cons

Super high manpower turnover. (About 20 people left/got fired in less than 18 months? Considering an office strength of less than 50.. that's really a lot) Extremely unprofessional HR. Bunch of gossip mongers. Very political environment. Non-people/team oriented. Zero emphasis on people development. They will hire and fire. The usual HR practice is to paint new candidates a beautiful picture. Then proceed to squeeze you dry and find a reason to lay you off. Then the vicious cycle continues. I have been working here for 2 years. I have seen almost 20 people come and go. Boss sets overly high targets that are unrealistic. Commission structures can be changed when you are about to hit your target. What a way to motivate - well done. Lady boss waste plenty of money in the company, affecting heavily on the P&L. Management turns a blind eye. It is no wonder we can never hit targets.
