    Pros

Highly collegial, global viewpoint with German flavor.

Dedication and high performance expected but rewarded.

Embraces German value of teamwork over individualism.

Highest ethical standards, no tolerance for anything else.

Senior Execs treat colleagues with respect.

Pride in the product; their wind turbines are of the finest quality.

    Great place to work.

    Cons

Heavy competition from other manufacturers and low natural gas and oil prices.

    Advice to Management

Continue to embrace the original value system.

    Pros

Employees are committed, intelligent, knowledgeable. Good and kind in dealings with others. Collaborative approach. "Get it done" mentality encourages creativity and opportunity.

    Cons

New management in Germany is ineffective, unfamiliar with American markets, short-term thinking and poor communicators and planners. Bad strategies based around increasing centralization.

    Advice to Management

See cons. Consider that all of the best brains in the company may not be in Germany.

I have been working at Nordex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pays well, nice PTO and benefits, teamwork driven environment, friendly, management encourages a good balance between life and work, really fun and smart people. Management recognizes the input of all employees. Really great well rounded experience. The company is still growing and it was exciting to be a part of it.

    Cons

Foreign employees are given preference. HR department is subpar and I never had a feeling that they would help me in a time of need. They royally messed up on a few situations with other employees. And certain employees are not held accountable for their mistakes. Not a lot of room for growth beyond a couple years for many employees at the Chicago office due to lack of middle management.

    I worked at Nordex full-time

    Pros

Very free at job, sometimes you can totally decide what you do in the company.
Since the boss sometimes don't know what to do ,so you can decide what you want to do .
Many people will sick for 1 week to 6 months.

    Cons

Chaos structure, no correct process, no correctly defined document management system, need to call many people until you find the correct person to get thing done, little team building, little contact to other department

    Advice to Management

Please define process, please reduce the travel from Rostock and Hamburg, please define clearly what should be the outcome of the project, please make better training and HR program, please define quality system in the development.

    Pros

Sometimes you might be lucky enough to encounter someone inspiring but it's rare

    Cons

Many empires, managers would rather play politics rather that focus on what's right for the company / share price.

    Advice to Management

    Clean up the dead wood.

I have been working at Nordex (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good working Environment, great People. I always felt very comfortable working for Nordex. Also the Location is veryy good, I cxan mostly work from home and drive to the sites.

    Cons

Long working hours, working the Weekends sometimes. It always depends on the turbines. Often I had to go out in the middle of the night because of a fault.

    Advice to Management

I would say Nordex should become a little more flexible. I was never able to actually make my own decisions. Other than that I think the Management does a good Job.
