I worked at Nordstrom Rack part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Overall a great company to work for. Pays well especially if you’re a student looking for a part time job. Very flexible schedule. It’s also very easy to move around in the company.

    Cons

Management can be horrible, most managers I worked under rarely helped and were not readily available. Sales associates are only part time or seasonal, no full time positions outside of management.

I have been working at Nordstrom Rack full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

One has relative autonomy and a higher starting pay than some nearby competition. You are given a decent amount of hours.

    Cons

There is constant, built in understaffing in the company. You are always behind because too few people are scheduled and managers do nothing about it.

    Advice to Management

Hire a few more people, pay more, and listen to employee's advice.

    Pros

The pay is good and the work isn't super hard.

    Cons

It is super petty and they promote from within but that doesn't mean anytime soon.

    Advice to Management

Don't constantly ask employees what they are doing when they really are doing their work.
