I have been working at Norfolk Florist full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It is only bearable if you really enjoy the floral industry AND don't need a decent wage!

    Cons

The owner of the Company is clueless and could care less about the people who work for him. He is an arrogant know-it-all who s rarely there, but when he does "appear" wants to second guess everybody's decision and work. You will feel underpaid and underappreciated here, beware! We were hopeful when they hired a new person to run the business. He seemed like he cared a lot, was personable and most of all LISTENED. It didn't last, I can only assume that he got fed up the owners craziness and left.

    Advice to Management

Hire someone who know how to run a business.

I have been working at Norfolk Florist as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

There are no compelling reasons to work at Norfolk Florist.

    Cons

Low pay, high demands, limited benefits, no bonuses from large holiday profits, limited safety measures from chemicals and slippery surfaces.

    Advice to Management

More respectful wages, holiday bonuses and greater/more appropriate staff numbers for busy seasons.
