I worked at Noritsu America Corp full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Travel on the company dime

    Cons

This company downsized so much there is nothing left. They tried to recover in an industry that is no longer viable.

The pay to start was decent.

    Cons

When the company did major downsizing they let go of the hardest working people and kept only management.

    Pros

Great co-workers (the one's who are left). Company car for Field techs.

    Cons

No pay raise in 10 years. No field promotions in 8 years. No performance reviews in 8 years. Lousy health insurance that keeps going up. Used to get bonuses once upon a time.

    Advice to Management

Reward your employees for their hard work. Stop telling us to "hang in there" and do something! You are losing good employees due to the lack of raises and promotions.

I have been working at Noritsu America Corp full-time

    Pros

Great Group of Employees who work hard in the field and in house supporting Noritsu's Customer's and work especially hard doing 3rd Party support on a wide spectrum of Equipment. Opportunity to train on a variety of Medical Devices. 401K with matching funds.

    Cons

Below average salaries. No raises for several years. Employees are extremely under appreciated. Limited Benefit options for medical (High Deductible). Difficult to take advantage of the Company's 401k due to below average compensation package. No incentives for training on and supporting new equipment (Experience is net rewarded).

    Advice to Management

Upper Management needs to listen to the heartbeat of the company and find a balance to regain the respect of the employees who are out there in the trenches. When you let veterans with 17 plus years of experience leave without a counter offer to keep them onboard, it makes the rest of us feel completely expendable and very under appreciated.
“Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don’t want to.” –Richard Branson

By putting the employee first, the customer effectively comes first by default, and in the end, the shareholder comes first by default as well. Richard Branson

I worked at Noritsu America Corp full-time

    Pros

At one time a great company to work for. Have been on a down spiral for the past 10 years.

    Cons

No paid raises for the past ten years. Health insurance gets worse every year. Lack of leadership. Lack of training on new technical accounts.

    Advice to Management

Start supporting your technical service representative. Give raises to your employees. Increase wages for new hires. Improve on employee benefits.

I worked at Noritsu America Corp (More than 10 years)

    Pros

All great people to work with including the HR personnel, the instructors, the district supervisors and the field technicians. I met a lot of friendly professional people at Noritsu, but because of the nature of the job, I did not get to work with them much. Which made it easier to leave since you don't really get to know them like other co-workers of other jobs.

    Cons

Noritsu was the leader in the photo imaging market during the pre-digital photo era. And it looked like they were doing great when the market started moving towards the digital age. Something happened and they lost focus and forgot what got them to the top. And now they seem to be spiraling out of control. Health benefits keep getting worse and no raise / promotion after 10 years.

    Advice to Management

Being a "Jack of all Trades, Master of None" doesn't seem to be working. Lower your prices on equipment / service and give something back to the employees.

    Cons

Terrible pay, lowest in the industry. Terrible & expensive benefits.

I worked at Noritsu America Corp full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

front line folks were great people who really cared - company provided basic car and insurance, low end cellphone, cheap laptop, gascard

    Cons

Corp management has not really changed, ever - it is just the same folks who rotate through different jobs. They take on new service business for customers with no idea of the true costs to do so, or how to make it profitable. New Ideas and suggestions never welcomed. Nepotism was rampant and seemed encouraged - no effective evaluation of performance, but no raises anyway. Increase in staffing was done and the new hires got paid more then the existing experienced staff. Expenses used for last minute travel made most projects losses. All things combined with a shrinking industry and the P&L has to look horrible!

    Advice to Management

great job of running it into the ground - thanks for nothing

    Pros

Great supervisors. The older equipment was great to install and service. The customers were polite and respectful.

    Cons

New machines are poorly designed. Wages were inadequate for job requirements.
