I have been working at Norman Regional Hospital Authority full-time

    Pros

Surgeons and some of the staff are friendly. Some of the staff will help you where they can.

    Cons

There is a real High School bully mentality. If you are in the 'in-crowd', you can do no wrong, and can sit and relax. If you are not then the charge nurse will put you to work. There is no teamwork. Most of the staff will do anything to make them self look better, and if that involves stabbing someone in the back...so be it.

I have been working at Norman Regional Hospital Authority full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great team work under pressure. Coworkers work together to provide a livable work environment while still providing excellent patient safety and up holding core values

    Cons

Upper management loses touch with the people in the "trenches". Keeping patient satisfaction over what's best for patient care. Pretty much the same most hospitals and larger facilities.

    Advice to Management

Work one day on the floor while short handed.

I worked at Norman Regional Hospital Authority full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Genuinely good staff in some areas

    Cons

All levels of management are overrun by incompetent, callous, unerderqualified people that were selected solely because of who they knew. They do not know how to do the job they manage, and they do not want to hear your ideas on how to improve things. If ever there was a toxic environment, this is it.

    Advice to Management

    Quit
