    Pros

You work with Christians and are very well compensated. PTO is also very generous. Nice facilities and benefits.

    Cons

There's no room for advancement for women. There's also a lot of cronyism within leadership. They want you to do more with less but if yo make a mistake because you're overloaded you are out of luck.

    Pros

Wow some are totally Kingdom focused. They are hands and feet of Jesus. SR is all in for turning tragedy into an opportunity to share the love.

    Cons

Eye opening some are totally self focused. The male thinking has moved to maybe mid-90’s when it comes to collaboration. Females it is closer to circa 1978 when the Pregnancy Discrimination Law passed and women were given the right to return to the same position they held before their leave.

    Advice to Management

Get a real auditor. Absolute power corrupts.

    Pros

good benefits package - but you can get good benefits in other companies
Most employees are there for the right reason

    Cons

Senior Leadership is made up of current Presidents buddies from the same church. Top Management are ex-Pastors that only have one business view/model. NAMB is a floundering company that is absent of its own identity. they cannot measure their impact on what they do, so they keep changing direction. Clearly a male dominated, top-down management style with little to no vision for productive growth. although very "busy" doing work, they cannot direct their Conventions, Associations, or Churches to adopt standards or best practices because of a flawed business model that all entities are autonomous.

    Advice to Management

Stop spending God's money to satisfy your own desires.

I have been working at North American Mission Board full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, great facilities, quality employees, authentic desire to advance the gospel.

    Cons

Boy's club mentality, Male SLT and managers make decisions, women expected to pull off miracles to make it happen. Do more with less translates to overworked staff with less pay. Competent producers receive more work but not more compensation. No opportunity for advancement for female emploees.

    Advice to Management

Ask for insight from those actually doing the work.
Address the sexism that exists instead of hiding behind the code of conduct.
Lead by example and with integrity instead of creating a culture of fear. You can't scare up loyalty.
Show authentic appreciation by leveling the playing field; not by giving a half day off to the secretaries.
Recognize that honest, informative feedback is not negativity or an indication that someone is not a team player.
    Be Kingdom minded within NAMB!

    Pros

    -good salary and benefits
-for the most part, really nice people work there

    Cons

-organization runs too much like a church instead of a business
-for this to be a ministry with Christians working here, there's a lot of cruel treatment to people
    -rumors and perceptions rule

    Advice to Management

Hire people to lead who have actual business experience.
Acknowledge the lack of racial diversity and sexism in the building.
    Keep pushing forward.

I have been working at North American Mission Board full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Supportive culture with common vision. Excellent benefits. The staff by its nature has a lot of things in common, so it's easier to get past minor personality conflicts.

    Cons

Passion to maximize effectiveness of donations sometimes leads to a bit of overload, but on the flipside this forces staff to find more efficient ways of doing things.

    Advice to Management

    You're doing great!
