    Pros

Living environment around NCSU is good. You can see green plants everywhere. Life is casual and easy here in general.

    Cons

Raleigh is convenient enough to live, but it is not a big city.

I have been working at North Carolina State University full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Time off for Christmas break.

    Cons

Not much time off, no personal days, non-exempt employees will soon have to clock in/out. Very difficult to move around and advance within the University. Not many opportunities to move up the ladder. No raises or bonuses.. but that's the state. Very political, low morale, not much in the way of employee incentives. More focuses on research, students and faculty.

    Advice to Management

Come with ways/incentives to make the University a great place to work for SHRA employees.

    Pros

It's a good education that I'm sure will pay off, but as a master's student it costs a lot.

    Cons

TA or RA assistantships don't pay enough if you are in a program without a thesis (i.e. you don't go into the program with a "job" as a TA/RA, you pick up these jobs as you go through classes and profs like you). I was paid more working for the university library ($15/hour) than I was working as a TA and RA (~9.50/hour).

    Pros

Wonderful lifestyle job(lots of vacation) and some great benefits

    Cons

During my tenure of four years, abuse of power and misogyny ran rapid. Incompetent people hired and blatantly verbally abused female employees many times. Senior management too afraid to intervene. Many females finally left.

    Advice to Management

None. Too fearful @ rocking the "ship" to speak up.
