I worked at North Central University full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

North Central University only positive is that it is considered a learning institution.

    Cons

Poor leadership, poor organizational structure, constant battles and internal strife, misleading employees and potential employees with suggestion that enrollment is not a sales environment. It totally is a sales environment with sales quotas.

    Advice to Management

    Quit!

    Negative Outlook

I worked at North Central University full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fairly laid back. Lunch was inexpensive most days. Health insurance was pretty good actually. Lots of vacation time every year.

    Cons

Way too much distrust among departments. People would do that thing where they CC your boss before talking to you directly first.

    Advice to Management

Need to see that academia is changing rapidly. This school will not exist in the next 10 years unless the focus on what they do well. Amazing music program that brings in so many students and a high percentage of them graduate.

    Cons

Feel a bit under paid and there hasnt been a raise offered in over 7 years.

    Advice to Management

    Increase fulltime time salaries

    Pros

I loved the friendly atmosphere the entire university had. Definitely the place you want to be for family-like co-workers.

    Cons

The pay was pretty rough- especially, it seemed, for female staff/faculty.

    Advice to Management

Create a consistent pay-grade for all employees.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at North Central University part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly, understanding, cooperative, fair, honest. I always enjoyed working with the different departments. They were understanding of classes and sickness. If someone messed up they were fair about helping them learn the appropriate way to do something.

    Cons

Not much for cons from my perspective.

  9. Helpful (1)

"Positive with most co-workers. Many negative experiences with the VP's of the org. They are very disconnected."

I have been working at North Central University full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Laid back, loads of time off and holidays.

    Cons

Lack of trust department to department and leadership is not connected with the reality of things inside the org.

    Advice to Management

Work to be more connected to all employees inside and outside of your respective departments. Learn to establish more trust. Good work goes unnoticed and hiccups or even minor mistakes get loads of attention.

    Advice to Management

Invest properly in all programs or do not have them. The school will not grow with properly funding athletics.
